Was the worse Mongolian grill I’ve ever had. Way over priced too!

The food wasn't bad. I have definitely had better Mongolian BBQ. The restaurant was clean, and the guys doing the grill were very nice. The worst thing about our visit was the iced tea it was the weakest tea I've ever had in a restaurant.

Ashley the manager is absolutely amazing! I had ordered delivery and something messed up on the DoorDash side of it and she worked with me to make sure I got my food! She was so kind and knowledgeable! The food tasted phenomenal also!

Food was delicious, I brought my mom and my dad here on two separate occasions. It was fun watching the food be cooked in front of us, and getting to choose what we put in our bowl. For first time guests, there wasn’t any clear direction on the process. We walked in and were seated, but our host didn’t inform us of how to proceed until we asked what to do. Not a big gripe, I’m sure most people know the drill but it was a new setup for us, so a little information coming in the door would be nice.

I used to really love coming here. The food was always plentiful and delicious, staff were efficient and friendly, and place was clean. Lately, I have seen a huge decline. Less choices of protein (NO eggs), food choices not stocked, no clean dishes, and overall didn’t taste as good.

Used to be my favorite place to eat in Joplin but since eggs were dropped I don't go nearly as often, and yes I know it's not required by HuHot corporate, still a big bummer though. Everything else I've got nothing but praise for.

My original review was 5 stars, but a lot has happened since then. First, the price jumped substantially and made the experience unaffordable. Second, and worst of all, they removed eggs from the menu. I'm not eating my rice or yakisoba without eggs. It's just not happening and I won't be back. I understand sometimes there's a shortage of eggs, but your massive price increase should have covered that.

Cooks didn’t seem to care for the food. Watching them clean the grill with tap water then pour the same water over people’s food to get it ‘wet’ is not pleasant sight. Everyone seemed to have an attitude except for our server. She was nice & even wished that our day went better than the experience we had there. There wasn’t much food available yet someone bitched at another customer, coming out asking them ‘what you don’t see what you want, Sorry MY truck just got here!’ - very rude as if the bad service was their fault. Been there a few years back & Loved it enough to brag about. This time around I can only suggest you AVOID this place. Never left a restaurant saying, I hope I don’t get sick.
People were very rude!! I ordered crab Rangoon’s they were frozen in the middle. Some guest (long with my party) are waiting on the bar to be filled . one of the managers was super rude saying what are you waiting on the truck just got there and this is all we have. Both bars were empty the sauce bar was empty. A lady came for door dash they were rude to her saying the tablet isn’t working then walked off saying the lady isn’t getting it someone go talk her. At this point way don’t you just close…. Just Disappointing !!

Disappointing Experience at HuHot – Service and Food Quality Were a Letdown
I’ve been to HuHot several times and always enjoyed it, but my most recent visit left a lot to be desired.
First off, the service was disappointing. Our server was inattentive and seemed rushed, hardly checking in with us during the meal. It felt like we were just another table rather than valued customers. The food itself was also a letdown. The buffet items were not as fresh as usual, and the quality of the ingredients felt cheaper. It was clear that the standards I’ve come to expect weren’t met.
One of the biggest disappointments was that eggs—a typical favorite at HuHot—were completely missing from the buffet. It’s frustrating when such a key ingredient is absent, especially when it’s usually a central part of the stir-fry experience.
On top of that, the overall flavor of the food was underwhelming. The meat and vegetables didn’t taste as fresh, and the stir-fry just didn’t have the bold, flavorful kick that I remember from past visits. It felt like corners were being cut both in service and quality.
It’s really unfortunate, because HuHot has always been a fun, reliable spot. But after this experience, I’m not sure I’ll be coming back anytime soon unless improvements are made.

First time at HuHot. Everyone had been telling me to go. I had heard they have eggs on the buffet line, which I thought would be good for fried rice! When I went, I was informed they no longer offer eggs. I'm not sure if this location is understaffed or what. The meat selections were empty, and a number of the veggies were also empty. They were not busy when we arrived (3 tables, around 11:30ish), so I was a bit confused. I selected a rice bowl with a mix of this & that. By the time I sat to eat the rice, it was so overcooked that it was a mush that coated everything. Was not impressed.
