If you leave hungry, it's your own fault!!! Biscuits and gravy platter is enough to share, the bacon is some of the best I've EVER had, Denver omelette was stuffed full of goodies. The smothered tater tots with green chiles, cream gravy and cheese was to die for! The family loves a good diner and this definitely checked the boxes for classic diner off for us! We will be back next time we drive out that way!

It's a breakfast diner that opens early. It is very convenient for the traveler who wants to get an early start. The waitress is friendly, and the coffee was hot and plentiful. It is too bad their cook was in such a hurry to cook our breakfast. Our French toast was raw, and so was the bacon. Doubt we'll stop in here to eat again.

Stopped in during our travels and very glad we did! The food was excellent ... the homemade soups were extra delicious on a cold, wet day. And don't get me started on the dessert selection! The service is to be commended - prompt, helpful and a beautiful smile! The Route 66 atmosphere was fun to see. We will definitely add this to our places to stop again!

Must eat at this place!!! Best breakfast I've had in a very long time. Staff are very nice and it's an old cafe style restaurant on Route 66!

Many good things to be found in Tucumcari New Mexico including Kix on 66. A basic days past small cafe/restaurant. Breakfast was ample, 2 eggs over easy, hash browns, 2 house made sausage patties, one biscuit with sausage gravy. Perfectly cooked and plated. Frequent coffee fill up. Service was fast, friendly, and accommodating. A good value. I will definitely be back

Stopped in on our way to AZ based on Yelp reviews. We arrived half hour before closing and ordered our dinner for take out. They couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I had the grill cheese and my husband ordered the smothered breakfast burrito with every meat they offered and salsa on the side. Both were delicious. We topped it all off with a yummy piece of blueberry cheesecake. We will definitely be back for breakfast in the morning.

I had the breakfast burrito with both red and green sauce. It was awesome! Friendly service and great coffee too.

I've been through Tucumcari numerous times, but had only been to businesses along Route 40. This time my wife and I decided to go down the Route 40 business route which is also Route 66. We stopped at Kix and were not disappointed. We were seated and served by one of the owners, while the other owner was our cook. We learned the current owners have been on business since April of 2023, after retiring from the trucking industry. The service was beyond top notch. My wife and I both ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup, and the Grilled Cheese with Hatch Chilies and fries. The soup had a chili flavor to it and was very good. The grilled cheese sandwiches were off the chart great and I could I eat this several times a week. The fries were also very good, better than most. This is truly a mom and pops business with great food and you must go in there and support them. Do it now!!

very rude owners always complaining. I made a complaint about my soggy tortilla and the s*** hit the fan calling me names telling me never to come back. food quality is almost never there. I wish I would have taken video of my complaint to post it here

Great diner for breakfast. The restaurant is nothing fancy, comfortable with good eats and friendly service.

Outstanding breakfast and experience. This is a hidden gem along the old Route 66 and really takes you back in time to great food and friendly service. Had the French toast platter and it was amazing! Highly recommend if you are passing through.

While the food tasted fine and they had nice outdoor seating, I got food poisoning after eating here. It was the only thing I ate that day so there was no wondering where it came from. Needless to say I would not eat here again and I can't really recommend it to anyone.
