I’ve been to NYC multiple times and I always hit up the pizza places, and I still think this pizza is the best I’ve ever had. No, that’s not hyperbole—it’s unbelievably good! The crust has an impeccable crisp and taste, the sauce is perfectly light and not too sweet, and the cheese is so full of flavor. The pepperoni is juicy and bold! If you haven’t tried this place yet, make this your next meal!

The tall bald Hostess/Server is a big jerk completely rude and just bad manners they mixed my pizza up that I ordered ahead and put it on the buffet instead of boxing it up so I had to wait almost 20 mins even when I called ahead and he was very rude and unprofessional towards me about the situation based off that experience I will not be back nor will I recommend anyone to come here for real he needs better training and to learn how to smile it could of easily been a no problem situation had he nicely explained the mistake but instead he decided to be rude I get it stuff happens but it’s all about how you handle it.

We really needed a new Pizza place and this is so close to our house I can't believe I didn't know about it sooner. Ordered blind for the first time recently and was blown away at how good the Pizza and Stromboli were, have since ordered several more times and can't recommend it enough to anyone that will listen. Everything has been good and I'm now on a quest to try absolutely everything they make.

Hands down the best pizza in Joplin. unfortunately they don't honor their hours of service. sign said open, hours online said open, store listed hours until 8:30. we were there at 8:00. asked us how many, we said 6. IT WAS THEN they told us they were closed.
I agree it's a jerk move to go in right at close. but we were a HALF HOUR from close.
if you close at 8, close at 8. if you're open until 8:30... be open. not just for "dashers" either.
Hard to support and shop local. We ended up going to Old Chicago. not as good, but we didn't get turned away either.

I have eaten here before, but most likely won't be back after this evenings experience! The dude was RUDE!!! Posted hours say open until 8:30! We walked in at 8:00. Having worked in the restaurant business and managed when a customer walks in during your posted open hours you don't turn them away and then rudely tell them to "how about you next time check our posted hours?!" Umm...how about I just don't return. I walked in this establishment during their posted open hours AND their sign said open, yet my group was turned away! That's fine there are much better eating establishments around Joplin!!!

I went in and realized the name changed to New York Pizza and Deli (NYPD). I was the only person in the shop and was NOT given a friendly greeting. Only 2 guys in there and not one made me feel comfortable. I ordered a veggie style pizza and a beer. I was never offered a refill on my beer. Pizza when it was in its hot state tasted good. But in no way could you mistaken this for NY pizza. I took most of it home. After the pizza cooled down it had such a bad odor. I enjoy eating cold pizza but the taste was unbearable! I can see why the shop was empty and changing the name isn’t going to change the poor service and poor quality of food. I would definitely NOT recommend this place. Save your money!!

As a former New Yorker and having spent 20 plus years in New Haven connecticut, this is definitely the best New York style pizza I have had in all of Missouri. The crust was delicious and reminded me of home.
A must stop in Joplin Missouri if you love New York style pizza ?!
