The shake we got was excellent. We had to wait quite a bit before someone came to the window to take our order (doing inventory she said) and we had to knock hard to get her attention. We almost left but were glad we didn’t because despite this little hiccup we did not want to have missed the shake.
It's my favorite ice cream. Smooth and creamy. The way it's supposed to be. Not chunks of ice or salt or sugar that are not blended well. It isn't like sandpaper in your mouth. Unless you get a flavor with cookies or nuts. My favorite is cherry chocolate.
I used to live in Joplin but moved away. Every visit back I go here and loved the Big Bopper. Just went there and left disappointed! Glass was filled with yogurt and a very small amount of hot fudge and Carmel. There used to be a layer of toppings down in the ice cream but not today. Not sure I will go hack next time I'm in town sadly!
