Mrs. Flip Out was extremely excited to see that The Human Bean was in Joplin as we passed through. We had tried one several years ago in Nevada and she really enjoyed it. This location was great as well! The barista was friendly and helpful. Mrs. Flip Out enjoyed the hot breve and I enjoyed the frozen hot chocolate. The Human Bean also serves chocolate covered espresso beans with each drink which is a fun treat!

I have had the Twilight, a caramel mocha, and one of their green smoothies they were all excellent all fast service friendly service and the lady made sure to inform us to download the app because we get a free drink which was awesome because I love their drinks.

The Human Bean has a great selection of drinks that are delicious, and I love the little coffee bean on top — it’s a perfect finishing touch, like the cherry on top of a sundae. Service is typically fast, and since it’s all drive-through, it’s super convenient.
Prices are on the higher side, but my biggest dislike is the small talk at the window. I personally prefer a simple “hello” or “good morning/afternoon” and then that’s it. It makes me feel uncomfortable when it goes beyond my order — like talking about the weather or my plans for the day. I’d like to respectfully request that staff and management consider offering an order-focused interaction and leave the small talk for your friends and coworkers.
