Me and my husband are traveling and decided to stop here based on reviews we read. Let me tell you, the reviews are spot on! This place is so so so good!!started the drinks that were tasty :) Then we had the bruschetta for an appetizer. It’s was so good, I could of made it a meal! I had the beef filet- cooked perfect, flavoring was great and it was so tender! The butter on top was yummy. They had bread with a honey butter and I could of bought a gallon of that butter it was so creamy and rich. I ordered a twice baked potato, which was huge and shared with my husband who had salmon over rice. Salmon was excellent. We had the bourbon pecan pie with ice cream—- this is a must! Oh my goooodness, yum! The atmosphere was really cool and we had a attentive waiter. We had nothing negative to say about this place. It’s a MUST go to if you are in Joplin!

We went there on date night. It was THE absolute BEST steak you've had. Also the chicken pesto dish was Delish!!! The atmosphere was really fun. They had each table dimly lit, making it feel more romantic. Very nice wait staff. Will definitely go back when in the area!!!Food: 5/5

An absolute great place to eat. This was our first visit to Joplin and we found this place while driving Main Street. Food was. Great, service was great. You must order the bread pudding, it is to die for.

My wife and I came here for dinner on a Friday evening and it was simply amazing! Steak is probably my favorite meal and Wilder's was everything we expected it to be. We ordered salad, it was fresh and delicious. The filets we ordered were tender and juicy. I recommend this place to fellow steak lovers.

What a fantastic meal. The lobster and salmon were cooked with absolute perfection and the steak followed suit. Our waitress knew the menu, which is always a plus. She was also quick and friendly. I will return to sample more of the menu.

Traveling on highway. Googled restaurants near me. The best. Fresh warm bread. Everything about it was perfect. Great unique atmosphere. Rib-eye and pork chops amazing. And the BREAD PUDDING TO DIE FOR.

I went on a quiet Monday night and sat at the bar (solo diner). Being very hungry for simple food without any additional sauces the kitchen was happy to accommodate my requests for "naked" asparagus and Brussel sprouts which I really appreciated. Highly recommend.

We are here last night and we're disappointed with food/service. The food and service were just what we expected from a lower priced venue such as Big R's. So the food wasn't bad it was just not worth the dollars. We ordered the lamb appetizer and it the taste was yummy but mine portion was cold. The service was adequate not outstanding. Drinks were left infilled until we asked. Overall just disappointing. Next time its back to Mythos for us!

We had a one night stay in Joplin and found Wilder’s on Yelp. At first we wondered if it was even open but then saw others go in. There is plenty of parking in the rear. From the moment we entered it was the type of experience one wants to remember over and over. We did not have a reservation but were quickly seated. I am usually opposed to booths but this was not the type where you sink so the table is up to your chin and the person opposite seems a mile away! The seats sat high and the table was narrower so you could easily chat! Our server was Chloe. We started with cocktails and shared a shrimp cocktail (4 huge shrimp). For dinner I had the DuPont - an 8oz filet topped with onions, mushrooms and Gruyère cheese and Caesar salad as my side. My husband had the ribeye with the garlic mashed. We also ordered a bottle of Bordeaux - the wine list has a variety of wines /prices.Everything was served perfectly with wonderful attention to detail, both steaks were medium rare as ordered. We sat and finished our wine before ordering coffee and dessert- we were never rushed. For dessert we shared the bourbon pecan pie a la mode - delicious!Thankyou Chloe for making our evening just perfect & to Wilder’s your food and service is second to none - if we are ever in the area again we will for sure return.
Excellent service. Had the bone in rib eye. Visually beautiful. Good char. Just a tad bit under seasoned as were the mashed potatoes. Maybe adding a little bit more salt to the herb butter would have got me there.

The service was exemplary. The food was excellent. I had a grilled romaine salad (never had something like that before) that had flavors that I now count among my favorites. I had a gorgeously cooked ribeye with truffle butter (never had truffle butter before, it's good!) and a very nice fully loaded baked potato. I finished off with a black coffee and a slice of chocolate mousse cake that finished of the evening perfectly. I know I'll be back, and I'm looking forward to it.

When it comes to a steak, Wilders is where we choose to go. Cooked to exactly the way you order it. Its not like Wish, where you order something and it's completely opposite of what you expected.Service is phenomenal. Anyone on the wait staff is friendly and amazing.Atmosphere is very relaxing and elegant. It makes for a wonderful date with how calm it is. You can actually sit, eat, and hear one another talk. All around a great place. Highly recommend. It ain't no Applebee's though where you'll be getting 2 for 20. But you do get what you pay for and it's well worth it!
