“We just ate there for lunch and both of us are excited to recommend it to friends and family! The food was really amazing. We both had jerk chicken, cabbage, and plantains. All three were terrific. The service was so very friendly and accommodating! The atmosphere is quite creative and welcoming. Please give them your business!“

“First time trying African food and it was amazing!!! Definitely a must try! We ordered 3 different types of egusi soup and fufu (beef, vegan, okra) fried red snapper fish, wings, and jollof rice. The food was well seasoned, flavorful, the customer service was attentive, nice, and quick. Would come back here again to try more items on menu.“

“We ordered this to go while visiting Kansas City, and my husband—who went in to order and pick it up—raved about how kind the owner was. When he brought the food back to the car, the kids and I couldn’t help opening it right away. The smell was absolutely heavenly!
She warned him that the egusi might be spicy and asked if that was okay. He said yes, because we can usually handle some heat… but we were not prepared for that level of spice 😂. That said, the flavor was incredible.
We also ordered the peanut butter soup, and my children and I still talk about it to this day. I genuinely recommend this restaurant to anyone who will listen—we’ve already planned a trip back to Kansas City specifically to order it again (and visit a few museums, too).
