Not the greatest vibes, but was there on a Monday so not the best day to gauge. Ordered the salmon with spinach and mashed potatoes - it was very plain. Had to doctor the dish with some fresh lemon, salt, and pepper. Bread wasn’t great and came with unsalted butter; was hoping for good beurre de sel. Dessert left a lot to be desired; was decent but very tiny portion. Presentation overall was not what I had hoped for, given the price. Maybe just ordered the wrong things. Service was pretty slow.Might give it another try in the summertime, if new menu items pop up.

Place very cute on the inside and my French kiss cocktail was very good however the food left more to be desired, I ordered the French onion soup, and it came burnt and I had pick out black burnt bread from the dish. I then had the steak steak and fries for my main meal. I asked for the steak medium rare and got a completely red inside steak, and while the inside was completely red the outside was way too charred and the steak itself was very chewy. Was very disappointed especially for the price.

The good: The service, and the beautiful interior. They do not have a mocktail menu but they were happy to make us custom non-alcoholic drinks, which were delicious (their lavender/lemonade and some soda with a lemon twist... Mmmm). The okay: The food. I wanted to love the table bread at a French restaurant but I was underwhelmed. I also was not into the duck confit pasta dish- while the duck was perfectly made, the pasta itself did not have much flavor. The onion soup was just okay. The not good: They use plastic straws for the cocktails/mocktails. I was really surprised that an establishment this nice still uses plastic straws. Really hoping they switch to paper, compostable or steel, as it would not only be a more sustainable practice, but it would further their image as a classy place. They also have plastic take-out containers which is fine for a soup, but not necessary for a pasta. I'd love to see Aixois step it up in the reduced waste department.

Finally made it to Aixois and I'm glad I did!We started off with the french onion soup and a sweet potato and leek soup. The french onion soup was perfect! I enjoyed the sweet potato and leek soup; it was very peppery which I enjoyed but a lady behind me apparently thought it was too spicy. My wife did a pasta w/ salmon dish. They were out of buratta unfortunately; they subbed goat cheese and it was still delicious. I wasn't super adventurous - I did the steak, potatoes, and veggies. Everything was perfect. Their house Cotes du Rhone was very nice and paired well with my meal.We ended with a chocolate crepe and mousse au chocolate. Very well executed - especially the madeleine cookie! The only downside on this particular evening - they have outdoor covered seating. They had heaters going, but it did get quite drafty from time-to-time. I would have preferred to sit inside. All in all, great experience, great food, great service.

What a great place, what a great vibe. Our server Ambrose went over the top to make sure we had a great dinner. And the food is just outstanding. It had been years since I was here, but it won't be that long before I'm back.

Location: crestwood. Kansas City Ambiance: nice place, family oriented. Potentially to take a date. Food: Went for the restaurant week. Overall the food was ok. Nothing extraordinary. Lentils soup was blunt. Crepes were outstanding Service: pretty good. They also have a bakery.

We loved our moment. No need to sit at the bar. Get a table for two and create your world while sipping and eating.

My order is usually the exact same when I dine at Aixios. The Escargot are hot and savory, oysters clean and Fresh Onions Soup with crisp toasted cheese melted on top Steak ( Med- Rare ) and Fries ( request Aioli for the Fries ) Make reservations and request the main dining room ( behind the host desk ). The restaurant door doesn't have any protection from the elements. We were in the cafe area and felt a blast every time the door opened. Service is always adequate, we had to ask for menus and additional items through a manager, busser, or food runner. We also didn't get a coffee refill after we paid.

I had a solo date with myself on a very cold January day. I sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive. The house rouge wine was good. The hanger steak for $31 was amazing! I spent two hours with great food, a cozy atmosphere, and my book. I can’t wait to come back with friends.

We visited Aixois for KC Restaurant Week and it did not disappoint. It had been some time since I had been to Aixois and while it is a bit of a haul from my home, it was well worth the trip! They have a great little coffee bar/take out bakery case just inside the front door of the restaurant. While I did not partake in anything from that area, I could see it being a cozy space to pop in for morning coffee and pastries. The restaurant is quaint and cozy and while it was busy, it did not give off any hectic vibes at all. Our service was great -- attentive and friendly without being overbearing and our server made great recommendations for ordering off the Restaurant Week menu. We all decided on the quiche and agreed that it was fabulous! The crust was flaky and yummy and the filling was creamy and delicious. We all ate every bite - even my mom who always wants to take half of her meal home! For dessert, we had the Profiteroles and the French Apple Tarte - both were delicious and a great way to end the meal.

Stopped in for restaurant week and overall I don't think it is worth the money but I'm still glad we tried it. The inside is very cute but we were seated on the left side that I think was added on from the original building. If it was the fall or spring I would have loved sitting there but the windows are not well insulated so it was freezing. We started with the French Onion soup which was standard. I did the steak and fries for my main course. The steak was definitely more medium rare than medium but the flavor was pretty good. The fries were very very good. For dessert I did the chocolate mousse which was my favorite part of the whole meal. Overall everything was fine, it just wasn't outstanding.
