Came back to try some other items on the menu, I wasn't sure what to order and Angie gave me a sample of each item I wanted to try. They were all a 10/10. She let me sample, CASSAVA LEAF, TORBORGEE and Egusi Soup. All were AMAZING! But I choose to go with Egusi soup. Highly recommend

Hands down one of the best African restaurants I’ve been to in the U.S!!! Do not hesitate to get food from here as it will be well worth the trip and price.I am normally very picky with food especially West African due to the authenticity but decided to try this restaurant because of the reviews while I was in Kansas City. Ordered the palava sauce and okra stew and had to drive back 2 hours the next week just to get food from here, which just shows you how delicious the food was.The owner is very friendly and accommodating as I even had to ask for a special order (inorder to eat it throughout the week) and the price was very reasonable!

This place is a delight! The food is great and everyone there was super friendly. They were happy to answer any questions I had and explain the food I wasn't familiar with.

Yesterday was my first time at Angie’s, and let me tell you the food was amazing, very nostalgic moment. I don’t eat my traditional eats often, the stew and fufu hit home. Service was great as well, speaking with Angie, I can tell how much she enjoys cooking and how excited she is to put a little bit of happiness in all her customers stomach. Great place, I’ll definitely be swing by again.

Absolutely delicious and authentic African food! No fuss, great quality, reasonable prices, lovely owner, and worth the 40-minute drive each way. I got egusi and cassava leaf soups with banku and both are more tasty than I could’ve imagined! Have found my new spot for homemade food!

Hands down THE BEST egusi I’ve ever had! I should’ve called my order in BUT it was so worth the wait thank you againUpdate: it’s amazing while hot but me going home it cooled down and has an extra sweetness to it. I’m not a huge fan of sweet and savory

Everything I ordered from here was a 10/10! The red snapper was big and very meaty! I haven’t found a place that had any like this in a while! The okra soup was really great! It had fish, chicken and goat in it! If you’re a vegan or vegetarian I’m pretty sure they can accommodate you. The pepper and the spicy sauce were a 10/10! If you’re not a fan of very hot food stay clear of the spicy sauce it’s very hot! I highly recommend giving this place a try and I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. The owner is SO sweet! She had a smile on her face the entire time we talked. Heads up the restaurant is on a side street, so the parking isn’t the best. I would park on Independence Ave.
