Great food and excellent atmosphere

I’ve been going to restaurants in the Crossroads for years, and this longtime “premier steakhouse” has completely lost its touch. On our most recent visit on our 28th wedding anniversary, there were only one or two servers scrambling to cover the entire dining room, and a single bartender responsible for every drink order. Even simple cocktails took forever, and the “Old Fashioned” I received was a sad version of the classic, made with maraschino cherries and no large ice cube, nothing close to what you’d expect from a restaurant that wants to be taken seriously as an upscale dining establishment. They were even out of every Bourbon and whiskey! What?!
The food wasn’t any better. It tasted rushed and uninspired, as if the kitchen was understaffed and corners were being cut. What used to be a dependable, quality experience has slipped into mediocrity at best. When management decides to pay low wages for quantity work you end up with low quality workers, therefore ruining the reputation of what once was a fine dining experience.
For a restaurant that’s been a staple of the Crossroads dining scene, this was a huge disappointment. With so many other great options nearby, I won’t be back until they decide to invest in proper staffing, proper drinks, and better food.

I would give service a zero, if i could. No one greeted anyone when they walked in the door. When someone finally did come to the host stand, they didn’t acknowledge anyone for several minutes and then only asked if we had reservations. We did so we were seated next to the stairs in the butcher shop side. The other servers were stomping up and down and it was so loud and jarring at this table. No one checked on us or brought us waters/ silverware for so long that we almost left ( i wish we did). Finally our drink order was taken and then we waited… and waited. There was no flow with the service of food and drink- our second round of drinks came out after we finished all of our food.

All in all- would not recommend to anyone. Really bummed we spent money here.

Made reservation for Friday night dinner. We were sit for 10 minutes and without any staff to assist us. We left and not coming back.

Everything alecart, charging $8 for a small cup of steak sauce. Didn't realize they put anchovies on my salad or I would have said no thanks. Ceasars salad tasted and smelled like a pile of long dead fish. Their bathrooms are awful. $$$$

No thanks.

The waitress couldn't hear, said I didn't want pepper and she came out and put cracked pepper on my steak instead of salad as asked.

At first they told us their reservation system had overbooked the restaurant and they wouldn’t be able to seat us. They did eventually sit us but then we set for almost 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. The food took a long time and was mediocre at best. Considering we paid more than $250 for 4 people, I would have expected much better food quality and service.

Wow! Lost our reservation and a bunch of others due to a tech problem. Food for the price was not anywhere close to what you should pay and took an hour to get our food. I wouldn’t recommend them.

We we frequent patrons of Anton’s a few years ago. We chose to go there before a show tonight and it is a disappointing shell of what was once a stellar local steakhouse. The food was bland and cold on every course. We barely ate any of each plate and never once did the server ask if it was okay. Two courses had one bite. My wife couldn’t eat her terribly prepared steak. Both steaks were room temperature and improperly cooked. The sides were cold and flavorless. I hate that one of our favorite spots has turned into such a poorly executed disaster. If you’re looking for a great meal and night out, skip this place and look for another local spot.

Went on a trip near here with the wife. We ate here and it was one of the best ribeye steaks we've ever had. We are also a steak snob so that is quite a compliment. Would definitely recommend if your intown or close to there to go eat a ribeye

Visiting from out of town for Chiefs game! Short rib was great and sides good, too much salt on collard greens. Staff needs more training on 5/10 rule eye contact and greeting. No music on! Seemed very cold when you walked in! I asked if I could get the fish of the day not blackened and response was no one in kitchen knows how to deviate from recipe because of language barrier? If it’s in the line you can do it for the customer and that’s a cooking technique. I sat at bar and asked bartender about local breweries didn’t seem to have much knowledge or really willing to go into detail. Was really cool learning from bartender about the owners local resourcing of products for the restaurant. With all of us struggling right now and not having much discretionary income to go out to the restaurants PLEASE be on point, when I go out I want excellent service. No matter if a regular or people from out of town!

Price Girls

Very disappointed. The food was at best adequate. Service was good (probably deserves a 5). The atmosphere is lacking. No need to dress up-totally a tavern trying too hard. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed to begin with and then they seated a group next to us that were totally inebriated. We were the only table upstairs. I tried to cut the meal short as soon as they were seated. But before we could leave one of the people seated next to us began to vomit. The waitress completely lost her composure (unjustifiably). The experience was bad from the beginning and went downhill.

We had a wonderful dinner at Anton’s! The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed date. Cozy, welcoming, and unhurried. The steak was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!
