This is one of the few restaurants with a warm and welcoming design. It is truly beautiful. Everyone who put a hand in it should be proud.I am so glad to have Baba's Pantry in Kansas City. It's one of the best places. I always experience kindness no matter who is working.I just tried the Chicken Shawarma and get the hype. The stuffed falafel and Babas Kebob are also awesome. Everything in the cold case is glorious and fun to bring to a party. I always add Shatta on the wrap because the slow burn is perfect. The wrap is my favorite form of their sandwiches. The fries are killer. The portions are enough for 2 reasonable meals or 1 huge one and I like it that way.I hope they continue to persist as long as it feels good for them. Thanks for what you bring to us today.

The food was so good! I had a chicken shawarma pita, my husband got Baba's Kebab and we shared Hummus and tortilla chips. It was very filling and I was able to make it into two meals. I plan on going back many times and trying a different dip or spread each time. There were so many to choose from. The man working there was friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience.

I’m am so glad I found this spot! I am Egyptian and recently moved here and have been searching for some good authentic middle eastern food and I finally found the spot—Baba’s Pantry! The food was so fresh and delicious, and the service was great. The Baklava is the best I’ve ever had and I loved their falafel pita and the baba ghanoush platter. They also have the best lemonade and they frequently change the flavor. Yasmeen was also so great and friendly. I will for sure be back here!

Excellent middle eastern food. We got the baba ganoush platter with falafel and falafel sandwich. As an Egyptian, the food is authentic and delicious. The price was extremely reasonable. Yasmeen was very kind.

Ordered two sandwich platters for a crew a two hummus trays and a big fattoush. The hummus was pure artwork! I received great feedback on the food! Prior to pickup, I sat and had a sandwich and the best baklava I have ever tasted, washed down by an insanely good lemonade (there are unique flavors daily, get them while they last). This is such a a cute little place to grab a bite and the catering was absolutely fantastic.

I've been hearing about this place for over a year. I'm sad today was my 1st time going.Cute place. Very helpful and friendly staff.I wanted to try a little bit of everything. I'm very impressedI tried:Baba's Falafel sandwich. YES!Baba's Fries. I usually don't eat fries, they were recommended. The seasoning on these are awesome. If you like fries, get these!Torshi. Delicious.Hummus. Nothing special but great texture and very enjoyable.Pita bread. Lovely, great pocket pita.Pickled Turnips. Great!Shatta. Yes! Yes! Yes!Goat Cheese Balls. Shut the front door! I've only eaten 1 of 4. I'm already planning my next trip to buy more!Baklava. This may be the best I've ever had. Super flaky, very sweet without being fake sweet, great nut flavor. Total win!Baba Ganoush. Only fail. I expect baba ganoush to be roasted and smoky. The only thing I could taste was the olive oil (which is great, nice and fruity. Great olive oil) I'll try it again next time. But this time there was no flavor.10 of 10.My only regret is I haven't been before. Will be going back alot.Vegetarian options: Most of the menu is vegetarian. I only saw 3 meat options. Most everything is vegetarian.

It was so good I had to come back the next day! Took me and a buddy of mine for lunch and am happy to say that everything was good, but the atmosphere sold me. Staff was quite friendly and inviting like the place itself and made both of our days.

Back around 2012, I would frequently see Baba at the price chopper in brookside. He was there selling his pita and dips - offering samples to customers. I remember his kindness and how delicious his food was.Today I finally had a chance to visit his restaurant. I ordered the falafel wrap. It was the best wrap I’ve ever had.I so happy for him!

I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, fries, mixed berry lemonade, hummus and pickled cabbage. The fries are finger licking good! They're well seasoned, hot and the perfect balance of soft on the inside & crunchy on the outside. The sauce-to--food ratio on the wrap was a little off. I desire more sauce, but the flavor was perfect. Hummus was ok. The pickled cabbage was unexpected...I thought it'd be more vinegary like the dill pickles you buy in the grocery store, but instead it was in a salt brine. Meh. Not my thing but someone else might like it. I'll return here on a day where I'm not having to go back to work because the wait was over 40 minutes this past Monday afternoon.
