I appreciate Bar K as a place to visit with your dog and as a community partner to so many rescues and other non-profits -- that is terrific! And their inventive programming -- including the current holiday-themed, Grinch-inspired, "Max's Lair" -- is really fun. Friends and I enjoyed the special food in "Max's Lair" (delicious chicken empanadas, dips with crostini, other finger foods, desserts, special drinks, and more), and the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff (a shout-out to server Lindsey and kitchen manager Oscar). No wonder Bar K was voted the country's best dog bar in 2024 in USA Today's poll!

Our time in KC has been a blast and our visits to the bark dog bar was the highlight of our dogs time! To say they loved our visits is an understatement. A couple things Dana and I loved about this awesome park is that it gave our dogs tons of room to run with fun things to play on and new friends each time! And the best part is the additional, trained staff that helped keep an eye on everything so that we didn't feel like we had to be in 5 places at once! We actually got to relax while we visited and enjoyed their full coffee bar! Whether it's coffee or a draft beer the prices are fair and the service is always good.
Definitely recommend ordering off the dog menu if you bring your canine. Ice cream and soup are the favorites.

My dog loves it here! Lots of areas to play. Food options are a little slim but the food was good. Great spot for chilling with your pup. Restrooms were clean.

Can’t say I was impressed … I think they are way too big for their britches … it was PACKED! Too many dogs to human ratio and people are not watching their dogs. There was a dog fight within 5 minutes of me being there. One of the workers was bit trying to do her job as I watched the owners stand there and take no control whatsoever… I do not understand this place. I went to a dog bar park in NC it was much smaller annd under much better control overall. People are too busy drinking and chatting to watch their dogs when they are pooping everywhere and misbehaving with other dogs. Dont even get me started on the fact that kids are allowed in there. I know there is an entire set of rules in place for kids, but you have to enforce them! They did not check my dogs vaccine records or tell me any rules she just took my money and said she’d buzz me in… after I said it was our first visit. Not a fan, won’t be back unless they make it known they will be enforcing the number of dogs allowed and enforce rules they have put on their website.
