Excellent stuff. Chill atmosphere. Fun staff. Sandwich was borderline excellent. Not an overwhelming portion size, but very worth a visit.This is The Gobbler Sandwich. Boar's Head honey smoked turkey, Swiss cheese, fire roasted red pepper, green leaf lettuce and chipotle mayo.

I got an El Jefe Cuban sandwich, which is their take on a Cubano. I appreciated the sandwich but thought that overall the meat was a little lacking in flavor and there was probably a bit too much bread so the ratios seemed off. Anyway, it was a nice little place, but I have to say the kids meals felt pretty steep charging $7 for PB&J.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I remember first seeing this little place with the sign in 2020 and ordering the Gobbler and immediately having my life changed. Ordered from here for about twice a week for at least a year (gained 20 pounds (worth it)) and showed it to all of my friends. Still go religiously but have slowed consumption due to trying to still fit into my clothes.YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A BETTER SANDWICH. BAY BOYS FOREVER!!!

Simply delicious sandwiches. Full disclosure I've known the owners for many years before their foray into food.There's a lot about the bread, but honestly I could do without it. I'm not much for crunchy bread (sorry Ju). If I'm at one of the other sandwich places and they ask me if I wanted it toasted I spit in disgust.What I come for is what's between the buns. With the right amount of salt, fat, acid, and a touch of heat every sandwich is a masterclass in balanced flavors. I don't know any better way to put it.Oh and they have options for veggie lovers and pescatarians too.Oh and I hear people like the bread.

One of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. Dutch Crunch Bread!!! This place is off the heezy fo sheezy!!!
Some sandwich shops are good, some are great, and a very few put the rest to shame...Had "The Bandit" and everything about it was delicious, I don't think I've ever had a better sandwich. Also the service was wonderful everyone was very polite.

I usually wouldn't consider myself a "sandwich" person but Bay Boy completely changed my opinion. The sandwiches are truly wonderful! Bay Boy had been hyped and I was worried about the sandwiches falling flat and ended up with the complete opposite reaction. I am now craving Bay Boy and planning my next trip for the best sandwich in Kansas City!Bonus points: easy street parking, fun atmosphere, great service, delicious cookies, unique toppings

Full honesty here - visiting from out of town and was directed here by the insane amount of love this place gets from reddit. Normally, when places are hyped, they fail to live up to expectations. Bay Boy Specialty Sandwiches blows those expectations out of the water. The Bandit is easily the best sandwich I've ever had. Once we were done, I contemplated ordering another so I didn't have to go another moment without it. The bread is delicious, the toppings are well thought out, the service was welcoming and friendly. I look forward to my next trip through town only because of this fantastic sandwich shop. Definitely the best sandwich in Kansas City!

Came out of my way to try a sandwich and was not disappointed. Place was relatively crowded on a lazy Saturday afternoon, so I guess the secret is out. We had a bandit and a Nebraskan. I preferred the bandit, loved the combo of just a tad of jelly and horseradish, didn’t overwhelm, gave it just what it needed.
