Food was great. The oven-baked Eggplant Parmiggiana was to die for! Pastas made with same types of recipes found in Italian trattorias. This is a little Brookside gem that shouldn't be missed. With so many new Italian restaurants popping up trying to be fancy and upper crust, it's nice to know that Bella Napoli creates a cozy atmosphere with non-pretentious fare that makes one feel like they are at the table of any Italian -American family's home. Jake, the owner, also has some great wines available that are not widely known and make for a great enotouristic experience! By day, Bella Napoli also acts as a deli that offers all the best italian meats, cheeses, and cooking ingredients for anyone seeking imported goods to elevate their meals or events.
Overall, fairly good local Italian joint. They totally overbooked reservations and ran 30 minutes behind. Lots of people standing near entrance made for a chaotic and busy ambiance. Pasta was excellent, stone-oven-baked pizza was mediocre. Our server was kind and attentive! I would recommend Bella Napoli for anyone who's having trouble finding a well-priced, locally owned restaurant, but don't go for the romantic vibes or mouth-watering pizza.
Bella Napoli is one of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City. We ate there on the weekend after Christmas, and it was very festive, the food was delicious, and the wait staff was unintrusive and very efficient and friendly. We had a wonderful time as always at Bella Napoli!
We visited Bella Napoli on Friday, December 19 at 1:00 pm. I made a 1:00 pm reservation that was accepted and we were served our food at 1:48 p.m. There were four of us and all of our meals were mediocre to terrible. My husband's sandwich was refrigerator cold - even the bread. The waitress gave him a bag of chips about 25 minutes into our wait that was supposed to be served with the sandwich. My sister, visiting from Canada, received a salad with extra limp arugula, 3 carrot sticks and a few pine nuts with her ham hock and bean soup. The soup had tiny bits of ham, very few beans, but lots of minestrone soup ingredients - the taste was like warm dishwater. My daughter had a gluten free Pasta Alla Sambuca - very odd flavor for a Sambuca - very fennel or anise taste. She ate 3 bites and said she would have lunch later. We were told the gluten free pasta was the reason the meal was late. I have prepared gluten free pasta for my daughter for 20 years. The time required is 13-16 minutes and it does not alter the taste of Sambuca. I had a Meatball Panino. The meatballs were large, hard and dry. I could not even cut one with a knife. I ate part of one. Overall, a horrible experience. I had eaten at Bella Napoli before for dinner and it was wonderful. What happens at lunch is apparently different.
A wonderful casual night out with superb food! Lots of options on menu from soup and salad, pizzas, pastas, or wonderful entrees.
Excellent neighborhood Italian restaurant. Not pretentious but honest Italian food. Cozy atmosphere.
Bolognese pasta is fantastic as is the arugula salad. Carbonara is good. Service is young and not very experienced, but was fine. Still a great deal and fun atmosphere.
Jake is a great host, he is out front greeting people and the food, service and vibe is very good.
Great food, great service! Minestrone soup was hearty and delicious. Eggplant Parmesan and Margharita Pizza were both excellent. Rachel is an outstanding server!
Bella Napoli never disappoints. One of our favorite restaurants and beside great food, the service is exceptional. Highly recommend.

A true neighborhood vibe. Some of the waiters are from Italy. Pastas were very good, as was the pizza - as were the coffee martinis! Located in the Brookside area - some shopping starts less than a block away. Very friendly service.
Was curious about Thursday Gnocchi Night, so tried it w/ the Tomato Cream Sauce. Lovely soft little pillows...I think it was the best I've ever had! My compliments to the Chef/s 😋
Bella Napoli never disappoints. Service is top notch. The food is amazing and served in just the right portion to prevent a food coma.
Love Bella Napoli! Feels like eating with neighbors. Great food. Vinnie was wonderful as our server. We'll be back!!!!
Just wonderful-reminds me of a family owned restaurant in NYC off Madison! Loud, fun, and casual!
