This location is closed. I call bs on the last 2 month reviews cause I drive by often in hopes.. I do believe their bbq is the best in town. The problem is no consistency. Not sure if the help is a problem but know 1st hand that the owner has issues paying his bills. I will make the drive soon to blue parkway to buy. Everyone offering bbq in this city is disappointing but Big'T is still the best.

Ribs and sausage. Spent over $70 for 3 people. The sausage was dry and look like it had been sitting out all day. Was not fall off the bone ribs. The bbq sauce taste like past sauce. I could liat a thousand reasons why this was Not good.

I went there Again and either the people unprofessional or the food is wrong. I ordered a combo sandwich beef and turkey and I distinctly asked for the beef to be lean. The blockmans response was "whatever hits my machine is what they gone get" . My response was "I hope I did not hear what I think I heard". They cashier said he was joking and closed the window. I got the food home and he made it All fat on the beef on purpose to be spiteful. I took the food back and the manager remade it properly. In these hard times we try to support black owned mom's and pops places and to be treated like that was inexcusable. This was my last trip here. The service gets worse and worse.Extremely mad on my Sabbath sTanisha

Kansas City is great for barbeque and we enjoyed burnt ends for lunch, on the theory that places that do burnt ends well know what they're doing with barbeque. They were good and the portion was way too big to eat at one setting.

Good had no drinks but I get that stuff breaks down. My only issue was the sauce taste weird not the same taste I usually get like it was mixed with a lot of ketchup. Other than that good portions of food ribs were great.

how is this place still in business. unintelligible girl at counter. ordered burnt ends with fries. 20 dollars later I was deciding which piece was edible. fries cold and limp. lesson learned. Go 2 blocks north and accept the wait. LC's.

We've been there before but the food was not nearly as good this time and they were out of a lot of items including ribs and cake.

Just left from here and food was delicious!! Ordered rib tips /fries and a turkey beef combo sandwich. Ribs tips were meaty and tender. Fries are hand cut fresh and hot!!

I usually like their sandwiches but this last one I bought the beef seemed a little tough to chew and there was very little BBQ sauce.

I ordered the Short Ribs and a side of the Potato Salad, through the Drive Through, and the smoke blew in and filled my 2012 Altima with smell of the Hickory Wood…YEAHHHHHH..!!!!

Visited this restaurant as a result of reading a review of the best BBQ in KC and this came in a number 6. It is very much a traditional joint, still using a wood pit and you can tell from the wonderful flavors in the meat and the delightful BBQ smell as soon as you open the door. If you are looking for a sophisticate, chic dining experience you will not find it here. The building is nondescript and actually looked closed when I was here but the "Open" sign was illuminated when I got around the right side of the building! The dining room is basic, with a few booths and tables. The floor is a little sticky from the residue of all that BBQ atmosphere I assume but personally I like this type of place - it has character and has clearly been a place where this type of cooking has been lovingly provided for many years. You order as you go in and await your food at the service counter before heading to one of the tables. I ordered italian sausage on this visit which was presented with very nice, thick cut fries and the smoky favoring of the meat was delicious. I will definitely come back again and try out some of the other meat items. This is a genuine BBQ joint, no pretentiousness here. You have to be in the mood for this sort of experience but if you are, you will very much enjoy it
