Great atmosphere and the Tim Whitmer Quintet is stellar. The cheesecake was pretty mediocre but drinks were wonderful and poured strong. Cover is normally $5 which is well worth it

Went to see 3 Trails West last night with a friend from Europe - he was amazed! The band was incredibly talented and made for a wonderful evening show. Hoping they are back at the Black Dolphin soon - we especially loved the fiddle player and the steel guitar, what a treat!

Walked in to Black Dolphin a couple hours after we got to KC and we had a blast. The band played beautifully and we were pleasantly entertained. The personnel are very warm and friendly. The setup and where the musicians are make it very intimate.

Very much a nightclub. If you want the Kansas City jazz nightclub experience, this is the place. From famous to soon to be famous, they're all great. The Black Dolphin is much like the sister club next door, The Green Lady.
