First visit and we’ll be back often! I tried the Mochi doughnuts, the consistency wasn’t for me. But you should try them at least once and decide for yourself, based on other reviews they are insanely popular! Personally, I am blown away by the bagels and house-made bacon jalapeño schmear. WOW. And the cookies. And the danish. I can’t wait to be back to try other items! Also, the staff was very friendly.

I would eat 10 mochi donuts every day if I could!Parking: If you're not good at parallel parking you're going to have to learn! Street parking can get scarce during popular hours and cars drive pretty fast down the road. Of course, another option is to park a good distance a way and earn your pastry with a hike....

We LOVE Blackhole! Their mochi donuts never disappoint and we love to try all of their more unique pastry flavor options. The staff is always very nice. It can be a little loud sometimes, but only because there is usually a line because they are just that good. Highly recommend waiting for these amazing pastries and bagels. (:
Probably the new best bakery in KC. Everything is great but the savory pastries are some of the best I've ever had. The sweet ones are just as well executed, hitting the perfect balance of sweet-but-not-too-sweet. The sausage gravy croissant is brilliant.

Delicious! The donuts and sweet pastries are great. Don't overlook the savory items! I cannot resist the caramelized onion and goat cheese puff. It's so flaky and buttery.
I had a lemonade lemonade mochi donut, a spiced pear, chocolate, and a blueberry one. I also had a raspberry, lemon curd pastry, and a cosmic brownie. Everything was tasty. It's a takeout kind of place. The service is lovely. They have bread loafs and coffee and a variety of bottled drinks, too. They tend to sell out earlyish. Be aware!Parking: It's street parking, and it's free. This place is open early in the day, so it's pretty easy to find parking.
I was in KC for a quick business trip and numerous people told me to go here, specifically for the Birthday Cake Croissant. I got there right before closing and the employee was so kind and generous. Just cool vibes. I really appreciated him and am bummed I didn’t snag his name. He was a rad dude. 10/10 recommend going here.
The counter man was very personable and a great conversationalist. The mochi donuts are delish- chewy,dense, moist on the inside and a little crunch on the outside with a delicious icing!
