We came here to pregame before an event at the uptown, as it was not too crowded and within a good walking distance. The drinks were tasty and we had a good time. There are pool tables and darts and a good amount of seating available.

The vibe is mostly locals and dart players. Lots of old tvs playing random movies.

Skip over this place and go to Chez Charlie. The bartender at this place is a grade a jerk. He is so judgmental. He judged me and my friends for the drinks we ordered and refused to allow us to play darts, even if we paid. The vibe is just so odd in there. Like i just feel unhappy and on edge. Feels like he could snap on you at any moment for doing something wrong but you have no idea how to predict what he thinks is wrong. I just wish I knew why he's so mean to everyone who is trying to support his business? He's local and we're local, let me spend money at your bar. It literally feels like doesn't want anyone's business.

A depressing bar with an apathetic man bun bar tender, and a place you don't want to go unless you already drunk. Don't

On Thursdays is the night to go. Service is wonderful, friendly and fast. Might get a little loud because of the dart players but they are also friendly. Great

Went there to join the Thursday dart league and play in a doubles blind draw tournament. Have been there a couple times before but the service was so bad we couldn't get drinks. So, we arrived and went to sign up for the blind draw and the owner kicked us out for "not spending enough money!!" How can you give good service when the place is pretty much packed, the bar was full enough you cannot get to it, and you only have one bartender on staff, that I saw. Needless to say they lost the business we would have given them and the dart league lost a whole team of four people, more business. Will never go back!!! The only reason it got one start is that none isn't an option to post the review!!

Owner was rude and kicked my father and I for not spending money on drinks even though we have only been there twice to play darts and have fun.

I've been a regular here for a while now, and like some other patrons, I have to quit coming when Ted is bartending. He lingers talking to patrons and leaves you waiting forever for a drink. I wandered down the end of the bar where he was chatting with some woman and he outright said, "You need to move along." (Um, this is a free barstool, no one is sitting here??) In other words, what he's doing is more important than his job. I've also seen him SCREAM at patrons before, and he poured a beer on one guy's head at one point. This dive bar is a staple and I love it, but get rid of Ted please.Edit: Hi Ted! (note: not the owner) - that beer-on-the-head story comes from a reliable source. I did not see it myself, so consider it retracted. But I have seen enough to know you don't care about your patrons.

10/10 all around. Ted (the owner) is very hospitable and provides a welcoming environment for all people. Also makes great drinks!!!! Best bar in KC, don’t steal art from here <3

Super low-key joint with great drink prices and laidback bartenders. ??

John John and Ted are great bar tenders. No matter the time or day, you're covered. They're open on Sundays too!

We like the beer and the steel tip darts. We go there about a couple of dozen times a year. The place has gotten awfully dirty with hunks of dust and hair all over, and it's starting to smell like sewage (maybe it has something to do with leaving the mop and pail out by the bar). There is some decor that is problematic.

Cold Budweiser, good music, friendly patrons, great selection of books, easy parking, baseball on TV.
