If you want the best all American style burger in the State of Maine get yourself to Blazes. My family loves this place. Of course, everything is better if you dine in rather than have it delivered or pick it up but it's still very good at home too. Get your order in early because this place is so popular that orders come in fast and furiously. Owner Alex and his friendly staff crank out the orders at top speed but always focus on quality over mass production. The fries are great but I prefer the tater tots with salt and vinegar. When I'm being more careful with calorie counts the grilled chicken selections never disappoint.

We liked everything about this place. The burger was great and the fries were hand cut. I don't know of any place where you can get a burger and fries for $9 anymore. Not even McDonald's and this was about 4x the size of a McDonald's burger and the flavor was great. We will absolutely be back

I just want to add that I am continuing to work my way through this VERY extensive menu. I have yet to be able to eat a whole burger - they are just so large and generous with the toppings!! And - still my favorite place to get fried cheese curds! Best deal around.

Food was very good. Had a burger, fries and onion rings. Service was fast and a nice talk with owner. The new location has a lot more room.
Delicious burgers, excellent service, great vibe. Fries were mediocre. I've been here twice, highly recommended.

I had heard good things about this place, but it appears to have been impacted by the lack of service industry workers like everywhere else. To start, they couldn't serve a beer because there was no one old enough working. A Friday night burger joint with no beer. So disappointing, but was hoping the food would make up for it. Wrong. We waited over 30 minutes for our food (late to our movie because of it) and when we saw the size of the burger, I laughed out loud. We ordered the "small" burgers for my daughter and myself. I was excited that they had a smaller 3 oz option than the typical almost half pound burger that's just a bit much for me. The burger patty itself was less than 2 inches in diameter, smaller than I hockey puck. The bun was full sized and we took about 6 bites of bun before reaching the burger which was gone in two bites. It was such a joke. Won't be returning to this place, needless to say.

Before we left KC, we wanted to get a bite of of cheeseburger and bottomless fries. Be sure that this was a very good experience. Next time we are on our way out of town we will stop by again.

This place is one of our first favorite places to go to when we first moved to Maine! Now it's been a year and it still is in our top 3! The owner is a wholesome, hardworking guy who wants to make sure everything is 110%. Great food, great service, wonderful atmosphere! Love this place!

first problem was that it was like sitting in a freezer. One of the employees said they had to keep it cold or the tile floor got slippery but regardless it was miserable. Then after an hour wait we got our food and it was cold and not very good. Kids burger tasted like the old school lunch burger made with soy beans. Big haystack burger was very skimpy on the meat which was unremarkable. Onion strings on the burger were undercooked and just a big blob of goo. Fries were pretty good. So there you have it. If you have a lot of time and like fries, go there.
