This place has been on a steady downhill slide for quite some time now - I'm not sure why we even tried. Came in on a very slow evening - MAYBE 6 people total in the whole dining. Bartender looked like he just got out of bed, looked us up and down, and said nothing. Not a good look. We sat ourselves.
The server was no better. Messed up a simple order of 2 burgers. No napkins. No silverware. No service. No tip.
Yeah, no. We're not expecting fine dining, but not this embarrassment. Everything had a ridiculous amount of salt, and the fries were cold. As if they'd been sitting and then forgotten. They simply do not care either way, so don't bother.
KC has MUCH better options to spend your time and money in.

I like to come on Wednesdays for Friendsday and this week I hauled ass to get there before 7:00. To my dismay Caleb was nowhere in sight and it sounds like he may have been 85'ed which is unfortunate because he's literally the only reason I rally on a school night. I love Brickhouse. The food, the staff, good drinks and prices but it looks like I'll go back to being responsible adult and only hang out on the weekends.

Wednesday Friendsday!! Honestly, having a neighborhood place to hang out with friends or solo socialize is fantastic. The staff is amazing and attentive. They are my kind of people. I did hear that Wednesday music with Caleb might be a thing of the past. That was always a nice midweek bright spot. How else will I know when it's 7 o'clock on Wednesday!?

The food was incredible. We only had a short 3 day stay in KC but we kept coming back here to eat for every meal. The staff were so friendly and recommended we come back to try the brunch menu and thank god we did. That food sent us to the moon and back. Already planning a trip back to KC just to come eat here again.
