Insanely rude staff, they talked to a customer like they were stupid. and it’s so ghetto that they don’t have ALMOND milk

Absolutely the best espresso in KC. Long lines on weekends, but that makes sense.

broadway cafe was one of the first places i started going to when i moved to the city, and after four years they are still one of the first places i recommend to people who don’t know where to go for coffee. the owner of the business is heavily involved in the coffee industry, and makes strides to connect with the people who make his coffee beans for him (shows in the flavor of everything!). genuinely just a fantastic place i couldn’t recommend enough. The soft biscotti is delicious! The menu is in the European style with room to create. Relaxed environment with plenty of seating and lots of light. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Just Wow! Broadway Coffee went above and beyond to support our nonprofit launch event, making it a huge success! ? Their coffee is simply amazing but what really sets them apart is their commitment to supporting local businesses and the community. We're so grateful for their extraordinary generosity and can't recommend them enough!

We are from out of town and caught wind of this local suggestion so we took a walk over and waited patiently in line. It wasn’t busy or fast paced. A man was in front of us for a while and despite being no where near the counter because of this, a male barista made it apparent he wasn’t sure why we hadn’t ordered yet - we hadn’t even been greeted, we were just waiting our turn. So he annoyingly said “hi”. So I said hi back and asked for an iced espresso. Before I could finish and tell him anything else, he scoffed and told me the only iced espresso he knew of was espresso over ice. I said yes, that’s what I said and he cut me off again saying “so that’s all you want, nothing else, just plain”. I explained he wasn’t giving me a chance to speak and he said “well the menu is right there” and rolled his eyes. At this point it was clear he didn’t want to let me speak. I tried to continue with my order and he rolled his eyes again. I said “you know, I think I’m good, never mind” and he scoffed again. My friend and I decided to leave which was a let down because I was planning on purchasing grounds to take home if the experience and flavor was good. Sir, I don’t know who pissed in your Cheerios or what about my appearance offended you, but this approach was not it. It always amazes me when baristas are miserable humans because they’re in the coffee business which literally exists so people can wake up and have energy to enjoy their day. As we walked out he continued to stare us down and roll his eyes. What a disappointing experience. We won’t be back and we will not recommend to anyone heading to Kansas City - we will likely tell friends to pass on this place specifically.

Staff was very friendly without being patronizing. They were helpful, answering some questions we had on their pastries. We ordered two lattes, two soft biscotti and a coffee cake. Coffee was really very good, pastries delicious. If I lived in this neighborhood this would be my go-to place.

I give this my five stars on everything. The service of the employees is outstanding. They are always so nice to me whether I buy something or not. They're never rude and they're efficient and quick to get your order. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I do recommend the iced tea and some of the homemade pastries and muffins. The lemon squares blueberry muffins, and rice krispie treats are exceptionally delicious. Way to go Broadway cafe. Keep up the good work. You guys rock.

I have over the years stopped for a quick coffee to go without any issues. Today as I have done before stood in line while the batista takes there sweet time to make a latte. This place must be under new management because now the slow movers now profile you and if you don't have what they want you to be there RUDE as hell.

One of the best coffee shops in KC, if not the best. The customer service is top notch. Coffee is amazing. Prices are very reasonable for the coffee, great environment, and the employees are awesome.
