Food was really good. HOWEVER, they will hand you a happy hour menu during happy hour times only to say “Oopsies we don’t do HH on the weekends like the other locations once the check comes out.” Maybe consider not handing out a HH menu when it is not HH. It will avoid confusion from your patrons and awkward convos for the waitress. Will not return back to this location, which is unfortunate as the seafood quesadillas were so good.

Lauren took such good care of us. Amazing fish tacos and good Happy Hour offerings. We will be back!

We had a great visit with Ryan as our server. He was attentive, got our orders correct and was also friendly. Definitely one of the best experiences we’ve had here.

This was the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. Period. Our waiter was as high as a freakin kite and couldn’t get anything right-and he even all but admitted it to us! OMG. We had to continually track servers down to get anything, including just water after we had been seated for 15 minutes! We should have left right away. We ordered queso and it was dropped at our table but we never received chips & salsa so had no chips to eat the queso! We had to ask bartender to get us some chips. Our server had to come to our table 3 times to get our order (which was only 2 orders of tacos) because he was too high to get it right?! It took 15-20 mins to get a margarita because our server forgot to put in the order-he even told us that! We should have asked for a manager but to track anyone down but the bartender there was nearly impossible. We had to go to the bar to pay our tab because we couldn’t find our server again. But, we found him on the way out…he was just sitting in a booth on his phone with 2 other servers- just hanging out not working for tips! We were there for 2.5 hours for some tacos and margaritas. Not at all worth it!!!

Great brunch! We enjoy the carnitas hash and bloody Mary/Maria! Service can sometimes be spotty (with delays of 15 min checking on drink/chip refills after meal comes) but overall we like the staff and have been coming here for many years.

Well first of all the lady that was serving us was great. The chicken fajita that my husband order was burnt. The old fashioned taco salad i ordered had maybe two tablespoons of hamburger ( WHERE THE BEEF). We had to take it to go because the flies and nets was flying around we could not even eat. Sorry won't be returning to the one on Brookside. The Red Bridge Barrio is so much better, cleaner and bigger. Sorry Brookside Barrio you need to step up.

Great patio, pretty so-so food, weird service. It’s a nice place to have a beer and some chips and queso when the weather’s nice, but the entrees are sorta forgettable.

We come here often, and it’s never been absolutely amazing food, but this most recent time was very disappointing. Usually the food is good and we’re able to share with our kids, and they love it. The refried beans this time were basically sand they were so dry, the fajita meat was either charred black or in absolutely ginormous pieces (I cut it into SIX pieces to be small enough to eat), and the rice was very undercooked. The kids didn’t eat any of it. Just feels like a very lazy chef is in the kitchen. I would expect that for a cheap plate of fajitas but $20 is steep to not be able to eat over half of your food. Margaritas are fine, but the frozen ones are never actually frozen. They either sit on the bar forever or the machine is bad, but out of the many margs we have purchased I have never had an actual frozen one.
Chips are great, queso is great, salsa recipe has changed (thankfully for the better!), but wondering if there is new management because something is definitely different/off now. Our server did not smile a single time. She seemed like she was living a nightmare… maybe just a bad day, but sometimes you gotta put a smile on to do your job. Last time the server was extremely scattered taking orders and messed up or forgot at least half of what we ordered, and we didn’t order anything weird. Then the food took an hour to come out.
Riley was not our server this time but is always extremely nice and friendly to our kids, but we usually aren’t too excited to bring because the restaurant is not set up well for children. The seats are so packed in that you’re sitting on top of the people next to you inside.
Over all, fine place to go for a drink or appetizers, but for us, it’s not ideal because it is too expensive for mediocre food and service. Also, there is no dessert. Not a necessity, but I’ve never been to a restaurant without any dessert options!

Might be the best nachos in KC. Patio is ideal. Always good service. Rylie was our server tonight. Bartenders pour a good drink. Recommend.
