The sushi is delicious and the service is fantastic. Had their spicy yellow tail and brookside dragon roles which were fantastic. My car was stuck in the snow after dining and the chefs came out to help get me unstuck. What an amazing part of the neighborhood.
An underrated gem. I will sing the praises of Chef Sal and Brookside Sushi until the day I die. A consistently great meal accompanied by kind and attentive service. One of my favorite dining experiences in Kansas City is to sit at the bar and order the sake toro nigiri (torched salmon belly with a jalapeno-ponzu glaze) while watching chef Sal prepare sushi. The salmon belly melts away like butter and the char + glaze give it a depth flavor unlike anything else I've found...

This is my new favorite restaurant. Plenty of parking, great seating, and a bright, cozy vibe. We originally got a carry out order (I loved that I could just text their number and talk to them about what I wanted), but when we got inside we knew we had to eat it there.
