Very overrated. The food was mediocre but expensive. Although, they have some unique dishes, they're simply not impressive enough to justify the price. It was a loved one's birthday and this is what he chose; otherwise, I wouldn't have gone. I'm very disappointed with the food every time and upset that they dare charge so much.
We had not been told that the food was served family style so each person in our group ordered a meal meant for 3.
The food we ordered was very good along with the staff. I was disappointed that they had NO WINE available for purchase,
Buca Di Beppo, more like Buca Di BARFO! Pasta sauce was Ragu level bland! Chicken Parm. did not come with pasta. Bread had tin foil stuck to it. Plates were wet, service was painfully slow and no one was there. Prices are crazy high and portions were not that big. We left hungry and will NEVER go back. I don't even know how this place is in business! The icing on the cake was that they did not clean up the seats from the previous diners and I ended up with pasta sauce all over my shirt from the chair. Very disappointed!
This didn't work at all for us. First it's served completely family style, which means you can only order portions that are far too large for two people. Also with the family style model you really can't order what you want. You have to order something for both people which is very limiting. Next, we found out they were completely out of any kind of red wine and an Italian restaurant without Chianti is just plain wrong! We had lasagna and it was OK but there are lots of Italian places in Kansas City that are much better. We really wanted to order the chicken parmesan however it did not come with any pasta. You had to order a giant serving of pasta to go along with your giant serving of chicken Parmesan. That just seemed ridiculous to us. We ordered a huge portion of brussels sprouts which were so dry they resembled the leaves you might rake up in your yard! The server took them off our bill kindly and apologized. We had a very nice server and she tried to navigate all of this for us as best she could, but this just doesn't work for small groups. All in all, and given that it was a special occasion for us, we were very disappointed. I doubt that we would ever return under any circumstances, whether it would be a large group or just the two of us again.
This is one of mine and my fiancée favorite spots to eat with friends and family. We always have leftovers and the mozzarella is perfect.
It was very hot and humid upon arriving to our table and there was also a terrible smell either from an exit door or the bathrooms that were nearby our table. As well, our waitress was absolutely terrible. She was barely at the table and during one trip to check on us she said she would be back for refills and never came back until we had waited for another 10 minutes approximately, so we stood in anticipation to receive our bill so we could pay and leave; as it was still so hot and humid and we in all honesty didn't even want to pay. She came with the check after seeing us stand over our table not saying anything. The food was not as quality as we remembered in the past. Small portions for the price and it was unflavored, a bowl of spaghetti noodles with no sauce. To say the least a terrible experience and we will not be returning.
Service was very good. For an Italian restaurant they ran out of Alfredo sauce and had no lasagna. Which might I say is one of their signature dishes. The marinara sauce had a little to no flavor if I could rate the food as a zero I would. Basically an Italian tourist trap restaurant.
i've been here in the past and after going today, it felt like the quality of the food has gone down, which is very disappointing because I used to love coming here for dinners.
My kids waited 20 mins for pizza, which I understand but, our waiter was not never bothered to let us know. I literally have to go look for him. Shame on you!!

Danny was our server, and was on top of his game…..
Amanda was a great waitress and the food is amazing
I’m a server myself and have worked in the restaurant industry for 4 years, the service here isn’t great like it used to be. We made a reservation for 2 yesterday, however upon checking in the hostess was rude. After we were sat behind a table of 20, (very hot in the restaurant too), we politely asked to move. Immediately after the hostess said she had no other sections to seat us in, and this was the only section open in the restaurant. After 5 minutes and no service, no service for the table of 20 either, we decided it would be best to leave considering how loud it was behind this table. We then see our hostess seating another table of 2 in a quiet area, which is fine but didn’t have to lie. Won’t be coming back
We have come back! Adriana was great she made sure our daughter had everything she needed. It was a great experience for her.
Absolutely incredible! Just to come eat here is worth the drive.
