I drove from 2 hours away for a taste of nostalgia and some burek on my birthday. It was everything I could hope for and more. The owner and staff were polite, friendly, and took an interest in knowing their customers. The burek, and zeljanica were delicious. Most people were buying sweets and cakes, so I assume they are also wonderful.

Some of the best desserts I have ever had! Everybody is so nice! A new favorite place of mine! From different Dubai chocolate treats, other beautiful and tasty creations to the Bureks in meat and cheese, just get one of everything! There is nothing I haven't absolutely loved! Get there early for a better selection!

I kept seeing their post on Facebook, so I had to try them out. OK so the strawberry cake I has was awesome! Then I got a pastry with meat in....ooohhhhhh man it was amazing!! Next time I'm getting 3 or 4 of those. Try this place out and I promise you won't be disappointed!!😁😁😁😁

Stunning desserts! It was so hard to choose, and the owner was so sweet in helping me. It is very evident the pride in her work. I bought a slice of chocolate cake, blueberry/Nutella cake, blackberry tiramasu, and traditional tiramasu, and they were all wonderful. Sorry for not having pictures, but everything tasted as good as it looked.

This place is fantastic - I honestly don’t know why I’m only discovering this now! All of the cakes looked so delish, so I ended up getting one of everything in one of the rows (there were a few tiramisus along with lemon, ube, and Dubai chocolate cakes). They were so tasty that I couldn’t pick out a single favorite. I also took home a meat and spinach + cheese burek and both of them were great as well. I have to give a quick kudos to the young lady working at the counter too - she was super courteous and helpful. I’ll be back for more because this seems to be my new go-to for cake! 🍰

This place is amazing. Seriously, stop reading and go! We had to pick several because they all looked so amazing, and they ARE so amazing. The Dubai Chocolate cake was insane. It was like eating a chocolate bar. The purple cake is an Ube cake, which was delicious and very subtle and not too sweet. The baklava was very good, I think if I warmed it up it would really enhance the flavor. The best thing we got was the blackberry tiramisu. Which it didn't have coffee, but this slightly sweet juice all throughout it. It was like tasting a blackberry cloud. So good and subtle and delicious. Everyone follow them on Facebook for updates and what they make. There are soo many good choices. The owners are extremely kind and this place is really a special gem. GO VISIT!! (It's not far at all from ReRoll Tavern/North KC Hospital area).

I have recently spent five years in Belgium and France, and I know good pastry shops. Burek and Cake is the best pastry shop in Kansas City! You will be very pleased. I love their pastries, and the spinach and cheese burek is my favorite. I keepcoming back for more and more from Burek and Cake!

I ordered a baklava cheesecake for my wife’s birthday and it was perfect. They even stayed after normal hours to provide the cake because I was running late. 5/5 for customer service and the cheesecake itself. Will definitely be going back for future cake orders
