The space is so unique and special. We loved the courtyard for the openness and high ceilings. The gallery would be perfect for something intimate. The food was INCREDIBLE! I don’t know the last time I’ve raved about a lunch I’ve had. Everything was so much more than we expected. We had the smoky eggplant dip, steak salad, turkey club with broccoli cheddar soup. All those words sound so basic compared to the quality of the meal.

We always have excellent service and every choice of food exceeds expectations. We like to sit in the Gallery- amazing art work. We typically attend on Sunday around 11am for a brunch prior to attending matinee symphony or opera at Kauffmann.

Had a great lunch today at Café Sebastian. We sat inside, the room has a wonderful feel with great artwork surrounding us. The acoustics in the room are ideal for conversations with no distractions. Afterwards we walked the exhibits, saw some terrific artwork and went into the gift shop, which is always the treat. Yes, I came home with something wonderful.

Must go place. My favorite. Surprised KC restaurant quality and quantity. Fresh flavors and beautiful, space and quiet. Near by Nelson-Atkins museum. Body and mind all full of good treatment

It was a pleasure to have lunch today at Cafe Sebastienne at Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Chef Ted Habiger and his staff were welcoming and the service was fantastic. The food, surprisingly affordable with a Chicken Bowl that is my new all-time favorite. Highly recommend. And hope to be back soon, Chef Ted.

The courtyard setting is lovely. Our food was beautifully presented and delicious. The frittata was amazing, and the carrots with dukkah delicious. Do not miss the popover Benedict!

Great cafe in the Kemper Museum. Room 39 restauranteer Chef Ted Habiger is now running the restaurant and making modern changes to the menu. Very excited to see where it goes from here. The cafe is now only lunch and brunch. Everything we tried was good, however the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl was particularly delightful with the perfectly fresh herbed salad with crunchy chickpeas and expertly charred chicken and squash kebabs. You get 20% off your tab with a membership, which start at $30/year so well worth it if you dine a couple times here.

We love the environment in the gallery- the art is so much fun to talk about. The chef is amazing- the new menu has a variety of choices. We always have had wonderful service. It is our "go to place" for a brunch before Sympony afternoon performances. In the past we have taken new friends here to introduce them to the Kemper and Cafe Sebastienne. All of them have shared that they also have returned for special luncheons or brunches.

The food was amazing as always, but the service this visit was very disappointing. Overall, not enjoyable so even though the food and setting is fabulous, so I am unlikely to return soon.

We went to celebrate Mother's Day at Café Sebastienne. It is a beautiful restaurant with all the art work. The restaurant was busy and service was slow. I loved my roasted potato hash and would get it again.

The food was upscale and superior to most restaurants in town. I had the potato hash with sunny side up eggs and compared to other breakfasts around town my meal was above the rest. All staff were attentive, graceful, friendly and welcoming.

Located inside the Kemper Museum, Cafe Sebastienne has always been a very special place for lunch. They recently have a new chef, who has brought a new menu. Our lunch, which was black bean soup and the chicken salad sandwich, was delicious.
