Being an OTR truck driver, I look forward to rare opportunities for a sit down, hot gourmet meal. I was fortunate enough to run out of hours close by to this hotel, which also has truck parking. A bonus since the Love’s across the street was already full. Saw that there was a café. I couldn’t wait to sit down, and have some good coffee and hopefully a really good breakfast in the ambience of a high end establishment. Well, I set that bar too high as this place did not meet my expectations AT ALL!!! There is a waitress here who is so LOUD! She’s nice enough but I noticed she “speaks” to the customers from where ever she’s standing. Whether it be the POS or coffee station, or walking around, anywhere but next to that customers table. Which made this experience anything but relaxing. You tell me if you can relax with somebody shouting across the room, talking about their personal business or complaining about how busy they are in front of their customers. I had hope the food would make up for the environment, but nope, it didn’t. I ordered the herbed chicken and waffles and I highly DO NOT recommend it! Not only did I not see any herbs in the breading, but I didn’t taste them either. The breading was a very dry corn mealy texture with no flavor. Definitely lacked salt and unfortunately, the herbs described on the menu. The chicken wasn’t dry, but it also lacked flavor. The waffles weren’t much better. They were huge, very dense and kind of dry. Pretty disappointed, the place is nice looking and the kitchen staff look like professional chefs so I expected more from them. If you’re a coffee aficionado, don’t expect much from this place. Coffee options are basic latte, cappuccino, or coffee, and flavored syrups. I’d also like to mention I had to wait longer than a normally expected for my order to be taken and had to ask for my coffee when nobody ever returned with it, (The waitress was having a conversation with a customer at the door) that everyone in the restaurant could hear.

The staff, service and food are each amazing. I was served by a kind waitress named Alaina and greeted by very kind staff. My food is always fresh and piping hot and the quantity is perfect. Overall I’d give my experience a 10 out of 10. Nice work!!!!!

Food was atrocious unfortunately. Dry French toast, rubbery eggs covered up with too much cheese, no flavor at all. Not even salt. No flavor in their coffee either. Service was alright, but it was both rushed and slow at the same time. We waited for our check for 20 minutes. Poor communication from a clearly overworked server.
