Sophia’s is an excellent choice when looking for dining options in Columbia. The pasta dishes are excellent, and the dessert options are wonderful, as well. I highly recommend Sophia’s as a place for dinner in Combia.

The restaurant is in a warehouse type building but a lot of effort has been put into giving it a cozy feel. Once more people discover how good the food is, the place should fill up and be more appealing. The food was delicious, portions large, and service friendly and efficient. We were just passing through and if we ever come back to the area, we will hope to dine there again.

Service was great and the food was delicious. The meatballs and crab cakes were great and the ravioli is amazing! Melinda’s spinach salad with the orange ginger dressing was great! Now time for a nap!

We had the seafood brie crostini appetizer. They were huge. So delicious. Coming back this week into town and can't wait to go back to Sophia's. The seafood ravioli with a delicious cream sauce and mushrooms was a favorite. Marie was pleasant and attentive. Nice server. Large spacious atmosphere with happy art decor. large outdoor patio when weather is cooler.

Sophias provided the very best brunch menu ever! My husband & I go out for brunch frequently in St Louis and Columbia and NYC. Hands down, Sophias offers the best menu which has simple and complex entrees and the entrees are delicious. I had the Monte Cristo and my husband has the biscuits & gravy. Both were exceptional. We forewent healthy choices this day but they were on the menu.

Started with a good portion of calamari and scallops. Then had the applewood porkchop and the spicy chicken and sausage pasta. Don't forgot a dessert--most are shareable. Wonderful food and service. On this hot day, we drank plenty of water and our glasses were never empty. Upscale dinner and a great place to enjoy when visiting this college town!

This is my favorite restaurant in Columbia. We went there for my birthday tonight, and the food and staff were amazing. Especially our waitress Peyton. We even tried a new (to us) wine, a sparkling Cabernet Franc. After the wine Stewart offered us a taste, we ordered a bottle. It went perfectly with the shrimp and Brie on toast (outstanding), the other appetizer of Filet Porto, and the Tarragon Salmon that we shared. The dessert was free, for my birthday, their signature Chocolate dessert. It was a delightful evening.

I have eaten here many times, always because I was with someone who liked it. Though it is popular with bar-crowd and 'let's not offend grandma' types, I have always thought the food was insipid and boring. I also strongly dislike the owners cutthroat business practices - at Sophia's and their other restaurants. They like to play like big fish in a very small pool. And once they move to the 44-Stone location, I will definitely not be back.

We met friends for lunch and had a nice meal and visit. The staff could use some training as to how to serve and remove food.

The horseradish-encrusted Salmon sounded a bit intimidating, but the chef made it work. Creative and delicious. We also had the smoked chicken Carbonara and the Somed Chicken pot pie. Each dish was perfectly cooked and attractively presented. Excellent. Our server was Landon. He had several tables in the main dining room as well as at least two in the outside area. He was always there refilling water and retrieving new glasses of wine. This is a great place to dine!

First time to eat dinner at Sophia's. The food was good, well presented and prepared. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Servings were big, we brought home enough for another meal.

Enjoyed an excellent seared Aji tuna with a flavorful sauce and thin crisp julienned vegetables. Our meal began with a homemade hummus and pita appetizer. The hummus was flavored with fresh herbs and oil. The pita, which turned out to be made from the homemade pizza dough, was the best I’ve ever had. Service was very good and prices very reasonable.

My dining companion and I enjoyed a nice lunch at Sophia's. The restaurant is dimly lit, so beware going in from a bright sunny day. There is a step up into the booths that I nearly missed (both of us are seniors and eyesight may be a little less than perfect...). Service was prompt and excellent. My companion ordered the pancetta salad with warm bacon dressing. I opted for the Spicy Buttermilk Yardbird sandwich with fries. The salad was large and fresh. My companion said it was delicious. I felt my sandwich was just a wee bit overcooked but the flavors were lovely together. I especially enjoyed the pickles which offset the Cajun spices perfectly. The fries were hot and crispy and plentiful. We were served some very good Italian bread with dipping oil just before our meals arrived. I will return to try one of the pasta dishes, which also sounded very delectable.

Very pleasant setting. Crab cakes were delicious, crispy but moist and flavorful. Came with a delicious sauce. Side salads were more like a full size salad. I had Caesar salad. The greens were cut up nicely and the homemade croutons were nice and crunchy. We both had pasta dishes. The serving sizes were enough for two people. My husband had carbonara and I had shrimp with Angel hair pasta and cream sauce. Both were delicious. We were too full for dessert!

First time patrons and not disappointed at all. Food was fresh and delicious. Servings were more than ample. Our server Abby was great and attentive. My husband and I had pasta dishes and we enjoyed them greatly. We split a house salad because they are so large. Bread and olive oil were brought to the table. House made desserts were available. We brought some home for later. We were stuffed! We will be back. Highly recommended.
