Editing to add, since the owner decided to reply, my husband said it looked great because he isn't confrontational. The cake was also the wrong flavors and did not have the cream cheese filling he requested. Everything about it from the decorations to taste could have been better done at a grocery store bakery. It was so embarrassing that I didn't even wind up using it for our event. Every single person I showed it to said we should ask for a refund. Shame on this owner for charging 160$ for a 30$ cake at best.

Jaresha is incredible. Truly she made the best cake I have ever tasted. We went in for our wedding cake testing back in the summer (honestly just to eat some cake). And she sold us. We had her bake our wedding cake, I gave some inspo pictures and she blew it out of the water. She also made us tons of mini cupcakes for our guests, and we did not have any leftover--they ate them ALL. Not only are her cakes delicious, but she is so kind and so easy to communicate with. And responds so quickly!! If you are needing a cake/cupcakes for any type of event, she is your girl.

Their desserts are packed with the sweetest, most delicious flavors, and they look amazing too. Everything was beautiful — our desserts were cute and fun, while our cake looked so elegant.
We wanted a vendor who didn’t just make desserts that looked good, but that also had rich flavor and moist, melt-in-your-mouth cakes — and Cake A Boo delivered perfectly!
For our wedding, we ordered a faux two-tiered cake that had a single slice of real cake for the cake-cutting tradition. The rest was fake (and no one could tell!), which was a great cost-saving recommendation from the owner. We also ordered cupcakes, cake-sicles, and cake push pops in a variety of flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate-on-Chocolate, Lemon Blueberry (my favorite!), and Strawberry Crunch. Every flavor was incredible! Our guests raved about them — there wasn’t a single dessert left by the end of the night. They disappeared so fast that my husband and I didn’t even get a chance to snag a cupcake ourselves!
The owner, Jaresha, is absolutely wonderful to work with. She’s kind, professional, and so detail-oriented. She provided a free tasting box when we were shopping around for vendors, and most of our communication was done over email — which made things super easy. I sent her a few inspiration photos, and she nailed the vision. She even offered rental cake stands (we used our own), and on the day of the wedding, she delivered everything to our venue and set it all up beautifully. It was completely stress-free — exactly what you want on your wedding day!
Fast forward to our two-year anniversary, my husband and I couldn’t stop thinking about those desserts — and Jaresha so generously surprised us with a couple complimentary cupcakes! Such a thoughtful touch.
Overall, I cannot recommend Cake A Boo enough! This is a woman- and Black-owned local business that truly deserves all the love and support. I’ll definitely be ordering from Cake A Boo again for future celebrations!
