Grinders KC Event Venue

I like Grinders but the description of the “preferred viewing upgrade” was completely misleading! It was crazy hot so we got it strictly for the A/C Not anywhere near the stage and could barely hear the music when we went to get a beverage at the coffee shop (which is the a/c “lounge “) And the view was of the side of the stage and could barely see any of the performers. I will never pay for that upgrade ever again. Someone definitely needs to update the info on their ticket and venue site.

My 18 year old son and husband attended the concert on Wednesday 7/16/25. The concert started on time with the openers and around 8:00pm everyone was instructed to leave the venue due to weather and that the concert was currently on a weather delay for 30 minutes and to check social media for updates. My husband was constantly checking for updates and finally over an hour later (after 9pm) an update was posted that concert would start in 45 minutes. The concert did NOT start back up in 45 minutes and no updates or communication was provided as far as people needed to continue to wait or if the concert would be canceled. At 10:15pm my husband and son headed home. It was after 11:00pm before the concert was officially canceled due to weather. The forecast showed severe weather all night long, the concert should have been canceled instead of continuing to prolong with no communication from Grinders. Very disappointing how this was handled. This was my son’s first time attending Grinders for a concert and now he has no desire to return. Also would like to mention that my 18 year old son was given a 21 and over wrist band. Not once was he asked for an ID and being his first time there he just assumed it was a wrist band for the concert so did not think to ask. Might want to train your staff to make sure they are checking ID’s! Fortunately for your staff my son has no interest in drinking. DO BETTER!

The concert venue is great. I liked how open it was. Also, the food is great

I just went there yesterday and they did not make my vegetarian Philly cheese steak the same as they did on Valentine's Day the cook really just through it together

I went to an Ice Cube concert here and it was good.

Normally love this venue but when we went to attend the 3:00 PM concert Saturday we wound up leaving. I understand rain delay, but the gate lady rudely informed us the website said it was now at 4:00. Which…it didn’t. We literally had the site up and were looking at it. But ok, so we left and then came back, people were waiting around outside but the staff was just kind of standing there looking at us instead of letting people in. After a bit more of waiting we left. Very weird and disappointing tbh.

This event venue was excellent! Despite the rain delay, the concert was so much fun!

Need more seating. Some people are unable to stand for extended periods of time. 1 very small set of bleachers and only a few picnic tables.

Loves the bands. Loved the food. Everyone was so nice

Worst venue ever. Bought prefererred viewing for cash bar, viewing and ac room. No cash bar, card only with limited drinks. Viewing is less than 1/4 of stage .. GA had better viewing. Ac room was across venue and not even close to stage. Paid the extra money and got shafted. 100 % would not recommend and others in VIP say same thing. pics are from vip cool zone.

Great venue! Saw Switchfoot here last night. Will be back sometime. Staff was helpful and friendly. There was a situation that needed attention from security and they dealt with it quickly/effectively. Great music, clean space, and a wonderful time!

Great venue for outdoor summer concerts! Bought tickets for Yellawolf and what an amazing concert. The bass is thumping! Can’t forget Grinders Pizza by the slice that really hits the spot.

Saw Yelawolf last night, best show since Sturgis. I want to say thank you for handing out water. If y'all wouldn't have done that things could have been bad. Thank you for stepping up and helping us out. I've never been to a venue that cared like they did. Awesome show and thank you for the water and thank you for Yelawolf. Absolutely love his music and vibe. Slumerican for life
