There is tons of inside seating, covered patio and outside seating available. There’s a whole thing for kids to play on with corn hole and giant connect 4 and jenga. Plenty of veggie options. They are all clearly labeled. We tried the jackfruit sando, it was great. The sides were awesome. The bbq sauces were so good. I loved the sweet one. Excellent beer selection, good service. Very happy we stopped in.

We sat outside enjoying the atmosphere when we were approached by a male staffer telling us we need to check in with hostess. Then he said he would let her know we were there. No worries, we were in no hurry. After about 8-10 mins (and seeing the hostess come by twice with menus) I got up and found her, told her we were seated outside, she was not thrilled. She grabbed the flatware and menus and headed out to seat us. We had our dog, out of the way and attached to our picnic table. She placed the menus and flatware at a table two tables from where we were seated. I enquired about staying at the table at which we were already seated and her response was “ I don’t have a server for there.” Two tables away? Are you kidding me? If your servers can’t walk two tables over- well… that’s pretty pitiful. We left. Will not go back- no worries.

Stopped in with a coworker for lunch. We each ordered the brown bag special. I had the pulled pork sandwich with the baked beans, both were delicious. Pork was plentiful and moist and when topped with their naked sauce made the perfect sandwich.

I recently visited Kansas City for the first time and decided to try Charles on West Point. Unfortunately, my experience was negatively impacted by the hostess’s rude and unwelcoming service. As a new guest, I was hoping for a friendly introduction to your restaurant, but instead left disappointed.

I encourage you to review customer service expectations with your front-of-house team. First impressions are critical, and ensuring that all staff greet guests with professionalism and courtesy would go a long way in improving the dining experience.

My wife and I enjoy Charbar regularly. We have had nearly all the items on the menu. I am big fan of the burrito they have on the brunch menu. The jalapeño cornbread muffins are so good we order double. The atmosphere is laid back. The outside area has ample seating while still having space to have backyard games for entertainment. I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t speak for their cocktails. But as far as the quality of the food goes…every other establishment in KC is fighting for second place. Charbar is the best in the city

Great burnt ends, tender, moist with fat, great skin. Ribs were good. Brisquet a bit dry but still good. Also a good price.

Burnt ends, ribs, pulled pork, turkey. ALL THE MEATs. Excellent. Service excellent

We also had the cheesy hush puppies.... perfect

Pro tip: get the 2 meat platter. It comes with 2 sides

Top BBQ places in KC. Excellent food. Great drinks. The back patio is amazing, especially when the weather’s nice. They have a decent brunch on the weekends too.
