Charlie D's Seafood and Chicken

Don’t get the fish or the coleslaw. Coleslaw looked and tasted like poison. Cabbage was translucent like it had been sitting out for a week. And there cod was nuggets of tilapia fried then likely refried from a few days ago. Was the driest most un edible hunk of flavorless trash ever. I didn’t even attempt to try the greens. Do not go here if you want fried fish or sides. Scary gross. Went without eating to night so save your money and your time and take this to heart. Not sure how someone can screw up fried fish this bad so, I guess they got that going for them. If they had negative stats I would give them that.

Food is always fresh and tasty. The best shrimp poor boy in town! Deserts are delicious. I just wish they were also in North KC. Please open a location in the north lands I promise you wont regret it!

First time eating here I place order on phone the lady That answered was very polite helped me order. I got the 3 piece chicken dinner. The catfish dinner with 2 sides.
Mashed potatoes and gravy sweet potatoes, sweet corn cornbread and a piece of chocolate cake.Everything cooked perfection i recommend this place to eat flavor was awesome. Chicken catfish, everything hot fresh just how food needs to be. Thank you, Charlie d's for excellent food and service.

The food is good, but too salty. When they started doing Sunday Brunch, it was seasoned amazing. But now it’s way too much salt. That’s why I stopped coming to Brunch on Sundays. Also with it being Football and a home game, and you are playing the game, it would be nice to hear the game more than the music during the game.

This is the most ridiculous place you can ever eat on a map of Kansas City very disgraceful food I wouldn't never feed to a dog .. his family is for there self not for the community they wouldnt eat they own food made from a bag..it will make them sick eating it that badly and lest poor quality they need too quickly quit playing with community funding and support too give back wen dose they do anything for community but too services horrific horrifying food...they need open up cook book...not less not all people get ting trip back hospital there food makes other sick...from eating health hazard how fry chicken so damn hard you can't even eat it and it still come out pink..will that been said my family and other gotten 🤢 sick and bye the way they need too teach there grandchildren manners too seniors citizens who help support and make a way for that business on there food truck down 18 vine..festival💯🫴🫰🫳

The workers were really nice hospitable. The fish was hot right out the oil which is good. The sides were not good very bland greens and spaghetti was like spaghetti Os from can. Bread was hard not soft. It wasn't a waste but its not somewhere I would eat again

The Sunday brunch buffet was delicious. I had the wings, biscuit and gravy, fried potatoes, french toast and bacon. They offered several seafood dishes but I don't eat seafood. The food I had was good. My only feedback is the fried potatoes were cold!! They would have been so good if they were fresh. The brunch comes with homemade lemonade, that was really good. Amazing customer service. Reminds me of a mom and pop place. I will definitely be back.

The lady in the front that takes the orders is fake nice and has a nasty attitude. She’s gonna continue to be the reason that people don’t patronize this business. I’m not believing the owner is ok with this!

I know people who have worked here and their reason for leaving is solely because of her…Dawanda is her name I believe! I’d beg to bet that she goes to church every Sunday and comes to work with that nastiness on Monday smh!

Terrible representation of a business that’s been around and a staple of Kc for so long.

Normally my food is great when I go to here but this time it was not good The mac & cheese wasn't macking. The greens were bland & the fish was bland. I don't know if they got a new cook but please bring the old one back.

The fish was definitely cooked to order and served hot but very bland. Especially considering it's called hot and spicy. Everything else was pretty cold, wet, and bland. Pretty expensive for what you get.

Food was fantastic. The employees were polite and pleasant. The red beans and rice were delicious and the best collard greens I have ever had.

The food was good they just need go lighter on the seasoning. It took over an hour to get the food that doesn't count the 30 minutes we stood in line to order. They should improve the process.....
