Food was so amazing. I highly recommend that Korean Fried Chicken Wings, the Jeyuk Bokkeum, the Cauliflower Bites and definitely the Sweet Venom for your cocktail.

Come with a large group and try a little bit of everything but definitely save room for the wings and kimchi stew.

Great atmosphere and great service, but the food was disappointing. As an appetizer we got the Brussels sprouts and they were ok, very large portion which was nice. For entrees we got the fried chicken and the sliders. The fried chicken had great breading but the flavors just weren't great, the garlic one is definitely the worst and the gochujang one was just ok. Having only two flavor options is very limiting but the portion was large. The sliders were surprisingly good, the fries were alright but the off flavored ketchup messed things up a bit. I understand the desire to mix things up but it just didnt work on the dish.

It was AMAZING. It was my first time and i loved how Kevin took a few minutes to explain everything to us and show us how to properly mix the dishes and use chopsticks and everything . Peter was FANTASTIC he told us he was the cook in the back but came up to help out and 10/10 service. I will definitely be back in a forever customer now. Best experience of my life and it was just so much fun.

As vegetarians, we were in awe of the dishes we ordered. So much flavor and incredibility good! We got the stir fry TOFU bowl which came with rice. The tofu was excellently prepared and tasty, which is a huge plus for me since I eat a lot of tofu dishes from restaurants where the tofu is just ... bland or not really prepped well. We also got cauliflower bites which came with rice cakes and a dipping sauce. The pickled veggies were also incredibly tasty. I would like to try more of their vegetarian dishes in the future!Vegetarian options: You won't be disappointed with the flavor.

First things first: the food is great! Korean appetizers and dishes are on point! Service was fantastic; just like a bar in Seoul.

Chingu has a great vibe and good service. But, that’s it.They serve the weirdest flavor of Korean food that I have ever had. I came from South Korean and have been living in the US over a decade.Japchae was sour. There was no savory, sweet, and soy-sauce flavor. It was the most shocking flavor that I will never forget.Rose Tteokbokki should be just called Cheese Tteokbokki. I think whoever made this dish never ate Rose Tteokbokki. The only good thing was about this dish: the texture of Tteok (rice cake). No spiciness. It was way too oily.Pajeon was undercooked. It was really doughy in the middle and barely had Pa (green onion).LA Galbi was okay, but it’s not worth it for the price. You can get the equivalent of pre-seasoned LA Galbi pack even at the grocery stores with a much cheaper price. They served this dish with some lettuce, which was nice. The lettuces were too tiny to make Ssam (wrap). At least, my friends said that they liked the Fried Chicken. I can’t say anything because I didn’t eat.The Brussels Sprouts dish was good and I liked that the dish had Tteok. The dish doesn’t exist in Korea though. If this restaurant is considered as a Korean-fusion restaurant, the dish fits. I’m not so sure that this place serves any authentic Korean foods.I understand that many restaurants need to adjust the flavor of their cuisine sometimes. But, I was incredibly disappointed and felt quite ashamed that many people who had Korean food at this restaurant for their first time would think that this would be Korean food. No. Please. It is not. I wish they research what the common/general flavor, techniques, and ingredients of each dish is before they cook.

Not a place for family. Maybe for hanging out with appetizers. The goods aren't authentic Korean food. 4 out of 10

My husband and I held our wedding reception at Chingu, and they did SUCH an incredible job with the private event / restaurant buyout. The team went above and beyond to ensure our vision was brought to life, from the menu to the decor to the dance floor. It's the best restaurant in town for a date night, and I am so happy they are extending that experience to private events too. No matter what the occasion is, if you're looking for excellent food and a great vibe, you have to check out Chingu!

I grabbed lunch here on a Saturday before a show at the Kauffman. It was quite empty that day (which I didn't mind) but I really liked the decor. I decided to sit at the bar, since I was solo, and the bartender came over after a few minutes. I decided on the Dun Dun Dance, which was on special since it's leaving the menu, and the stir-fry with pork belly and the gochujang-garlic sauce. Everything came out pretty promptly. I ultimately didn't love the Dun Dun Dance. It was a little medicinal in flavor for me, but I'm a fruity cocktail girl, so I'm sure some people really like it. Loved the stir-fry. So flavorful and filling. I had thought about ordering a side of the Brussels sprouts, but the bartender warned me about leftovers, and I'm glad he did since I wasn't able to finish the stir-fry. I'd definitely go back with friends.

My boyfriend and I were visiting out of town. We were wondering around the block and found this place. The atmosphere was really cool! We sat at the bar and had no idea what to order. The workers were super helpful in picking out food and drinks for us. Everything was really delicious! My only complaint would be that there is no sign that tells you where the bathroom is.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered fries, kimchi fried rice with pork belly, and galbi plate. The fries were very crisp with a spicy salt on it. The kimchi fried rice was taste sweet and salty. The dish was seasoned very well. The galbi portion was generous for lunch, but a bit mild in seasoning for my liking. However overall the galbi was good. Well return for dinner.
