I had a pour over of their coffee at rebel cafe and it was so good that I came here to buy a couple bags. They didn’t have any bags of their Ethiopian, but they were extremely nice and went in the back and filled a bag for me
Friend Coffee by another name.
Stopped in this delightful coffee shop. I was in the area looking for coffee on Google and this popped up nearby. Saw the name “Chingu” and wondered if it was a Korean themed or owned shop. I was pleasantly surprised it was. I ordered a hot caramel latte and a toasted sesame bagel. It was pricier than I was expecting. The total was around $11.50 for the two items. I asked the cheerful barista if this was a Korean shop because of the name to which she affirmed it was. Then I started to notice the Hanguel (Korean script) around the place. Having lived in Korea for several years I’m always open to check out a Korean owned place. Will be going back again to try something else and I want to check out their restaurant as well.
I'm half-Korean so I'm always dying to try out new Korean places, and my god that gochujang sausage burrito. The sauce it comes with is SO GOOD and the burrito itself had me calling my mom to tell her about it. Definitely a but pricey but I understand why.
Chingu. Korean. Even have Korean snacks. But the coffee. That’s as good as it gets. Beautifully roasted. Pour overs. Nice open space. Happy people. Parking can be fun. It’s a neighborhood coffee roaster. Good WiFi for work.
Great coffee, delicious food, and dog friendly!
Chingu coffee is great. They have lattes that have Korean flavor themes, their pastries and food are fantastic and the atmosphere and baristas are friendly and welcoming.
the best neighborhood coffee shop! the friendliest staff. I'm not a coffee drinker but the matcha and chai are amazing. Also if you haven't had their sausage/rice burrito you are missing out big time! Also love we can bring our dog inside - she loves saying hi every morning!
My favorite coffee place in Kansas City. Much like the coffee in Seoul, not just the lighter roasts but also the darker roasts have good character and balance.
Great spot to chill and do some reading.

Fig and walnut syrup in a latte is a must try. Subtle and not too sweet but perfect nutty balance.

Friends and I gathered there for a meeting. It has delightful drink options. I ordered an herbal lemon raspberry and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs caffeine free drinks. Their prices are very reasonable.

Lovely find of a shop. Biggest complaint is that their hours are not the best for me to be able to make it here more often while in town. Had two beverages during my visit, a cortado and an espresso. The cortado was good, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the balance of it and found the espresso to be too juicy for my tastes with milk. Was chatting with the barista and she made me an espresso, and it was hands down the best espresso I have had in KC. The crema, the body, everything was perfectly extracted. To my surprise it was one of the blends as they didn’t have the single origin dialed in anymore so close to closing time. The next time I am in the area I will hopefully be able to repeat the same experience as my first.
