I was excited to try this Korean-owned coffee shop, but was disappointed that their menu didn't have anything Korean inspired. I got their matcha latte w/ lavender add and it was very matcha flavored, watered down, and I didn't taste any lavender...I'm hoping they'll get some Korean lattes! Parking is difficult and only has street parking. They're connected to Bay Boy and have some seating with tables.

Chingu Coffee has quickly become my favorite coffee shop in KC. Their lattes and flavorings are perfection. The misugaru latte is my go to, but I'm also partial to the lavender vanilla and they've done a great job on seasonals as well. This is also my favorite place to get beans for coffee at home. I don't remember which varieties we've tried, but so far they have all been shockingly flavorful and unique. The sausage burrito is also one of my fave grab and go breakfast options in KC as well. It's a Korean spin on a classic sausage egg and cheese burrito, with rice and ground pork and a flavorful gochujang sauce for dipping. It's got a nice spice to it without being overwhelming (or regretful) as an early morning meal. They panini press them too so it's got a nice crunch and they are compact and easy to eat without making a mess. My only complaint? A 10oz latte is too small for me and a 16oz is too big. A petty thing to complain about? Sure. But here's hoping they invest in 12oz cups in the future!

Came to Chingu Coffee to study/work remote. Great service, plenty of seating and has WiFi. There’s 15 min parking right in front of the store. Most people park on the side in the residential area.Coffee was affordable, $3 for a Americano. Drip coffee is NOT made to order and the Americano was watery. I will probably not come again.

I was so excited when I heard that Chingu was opening a coffee shop! And that it would be attached to Bay Boy, which is one of the best sandwich shops in the city. I love the overall vibe, how light and open it is. There is lots of seating which is perfect if you want to go to work or to go and check up with some friends. The staff is super nice as well. The coffee was good and we really enjoyed our overall experience. I will totally be back!

This cafe has the potential to ascend as one of the premier coffee locations within the city.During my visit, I purchased a cappuccino. The barista executed an exceptional espresso pull, and the latte art was crafted with precision—a delightful visual and gustatory experience. The dine-in latte cups added a touch of elegance to the setting.I ordered the sausage burrito, which stood out on its own merits. However, it was the accompanying sauce that elevated the dish, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. My friend opted for the chai and an everything bagel. While I didn't try these myself, they had glowing praise for the items.Aesthetically, the cafe's interior embraces a minimalist design ethos, which I find to be exceptionally fitting for a café environment. Its welcoming stance towards canine companions further adds to the charm, evidenced by the presence of several dogs during my stay.In conclusion, I am thoroughly pleased with this new addition to West Plaza, which promises to be a local gem.

Incredible coffee, excellent service. My personal favorite items currently are the matcha and the seasonal fall drinks. The kimchi-bacon danish is also ridiculously good.

Park and walk to this sweet neighborhood spot for great coffee and pastries. Espresso is light bodied, lively, and sweet. Great on its own or in a cortado or small latte. House made syrups are available to sweeten it up further.

The best coffee shop in Kansas City. You feel welcome the minute you walk through the door. If you have questions or aren't sure what to order they are happy to help you and very patient. One of my favorite shops to go to and it's a really open space. They have seats outside and inside. They also have dog bones for the pups of Chingu!

This place is a great addition to the west plaza. Everyone who works here is awesome, and they consistently slay with everything they serve. I’m currently loving the gochujang burrito and vanilla cardamom latte from the fall menu. The flavors are so unique and festive. And they get extra points for being dog friendly!

I'm a big chingu fan so of course I had to try their coffee shop! The shop is located next door bay boy sandwiches and provides a local sit down atmosphere for the West plaza area. I enjoyed trying their iced latte with their current in house syrup. Chingu coffee also offers Luca bagels which are a Kansas City local must try if you want a tasty bagel and smear!
