Our server was great, the beers were tasty, but we ordered the Chili Cheese tots for $14 dollars and were shocked at how small the portion was. It came in a small basket with plenty of room to spare. A side of tots is $6 and either that portion would’ve been even more minuscule or they really think it’s justified to more the double the price for some toppings - which also wasn’t much, there was barely any chili at all. Definitely not worth the price. Other tables food portions looked normal so maybe it’s just what we got but based off our experience we felt ripped off and unsatisfied.

Excellent food! We had fish & chips, grilled chicken Caesar salad and fries.. all great. Our server Mikayla was excellent..friendly, efficient…a joy. Would recommend.

I came here for the first time and absolutely loved this hidden gem. I grew up eating Juicy Lucy hamburgers in Minnesota at the original location, so it brought a touch of home to me here in KC. I believe my server's name was Mckayla, and she was phenomenal! Such amazing energy, professionalism, and friendliness...kind of wanted her to just sit down and have dinner with our group. It looks like they have other activities throughout the week such as music bingo. Will definitely be going back.

I can’t say enough good things about City Barrel, definitely our favorite brewery/restaurant in KC. It’s hard to choose if the beer or food is better, they’re both incredible! Rad AF is the best beer in the city and every variation of grilled cheese they make is unreal. We have been here many times and have never had anything but a great time. We have had so many amazing experiences and memories here, including our rehearsal dinner; Joe and his team far exceeded our expectations and we could not have asked for a better evening. We moved out of KC about a year ago and at least every couple days we talk about how much we miss City Barrel. This will be our first stop when we get back into town! City Barrel is always my first dinner/lunch recommendation when asked, I haven’t met anyone who didn’t like it.

We had the Quesobria Nachos and had the beer slushy, had a couple flights of beer. All of it was really good and definitely will be coming back !

Delicious food, wonderful servers that were very attentive, and the beer was incredible! Great place for large groups & families. Kid & pet friendly. Clean bathrooms. Parking available. I'd easily come back again! Thank you to the crew for taking care of us!

The Host was especially friendly and the food was very tasty. The flash fried cauliflower and tots may have been our favorite.

Love this place to pieces. The drinks are incredible. The staff is so kind and helpful. Food is great! The beer is so so good. 11/10 from me on everything!

I would like to take a moment for a shout out to Kat and Adria. Both of these amazing ladies went crazy above and beyond for our small party last week. We may have finished the peddle hopper and one of us might have needed a quick snack and phone charge. These gals were extremely friendly, provided excellent customer service with judgement of our little mom night out, and took fantastic care of our group. The food was prompt and tasted amazing! The service though has me raving about this place, and I plan to bring my out of town guests here when they visit. Thank you Kat and Adria! You ladies are the true meaning of Customer Service! PS loved being able to buy Strawberry Beer to go!

Might be the worst food I've eaten at a restaurant in a decade. Typically I wouldn't publicly complain, but a $65 tab for 3 beers and 2 entrees deserves some scrutiny. Do better.
