Stopped in for coffee and a quick bite and the place was just great! Had two kids with me but they had cartoons on the TV by the bar at least. I was mostly just there for coffee which I drink black but the server was great the cinnamon roll that I think was too rich for my kids was fantastic and the breakfast foods that I tried we're all great. I'd make it a point to visit this place next time I'm in KC

The host great gave me the menu and I sat at the bar. I was not greeted by the guy at the bar when I got there but I guess he wasn't my server. I was greeted after I got a chance to look at the menu and decide what I wanted to eat. I knew what I wanted to drink and eat. Bloody Mary but should have said spicy. The 18 wheeler was a 2 person meal. Enjoyed the French toast with no powder sugar or syrup, I Loved It. The sausage was huge but good, I dont eat a lot of sausage. The bacon was good. The eggs cooked perfect. I got a mimosa. Food and drinks 10. The service was lacking but did finish great. Atmosphere great loved the smell and music I also was intrigued with how the bottles were organized.

George is hands-down one of the best bartenders in Kansas City. Every visit to The Classic Cup on The Plaza feels elevated because of him. Not only does he make incredible drinks with consistency and skill, but he brings an energy that’s genuinely welcoming. He remembers faces, remembers orders, and treats every guest like they’ve been coming in for years.

The restaurant itself is fantastic—great food, great atmosphere, and the perfect blend of upscale and comfortable. Whether you’re grabbing brunch, stopping in for dinner, or just enjoying cocktails at the bar, The Classic Cup never disappoints.

It’s become an absolute must-stop for me whenever I’m visiting Kansas City from South Carolina. Between the amazing food, the warm vibe on The Plaza, and George’s top-tier service, this place is always on my list.
