I am a new Bumble rep for Kansas City and we had our orientation meeting here. Our waitress/bartender was super knowledgable and friendly. Food was good, drinks were great, and the atmosphere was really cool being in the heart of downtown!!

We had a wonderful experience here on a Saturday night with a table of friends, great food and an amazing waiter. Kristen was able to manage all of the tables out on the patio (it was packed!) and still take excellent care of us! We started with an Old Fashion and their version of a Manhattan. They were both good, but the Manhattan came with ice, so I would probably stick with the Old Fashion next time. We tried to order a bottle of the red blend that was listed as a special that night, but they were out. Kristen was able to offer another option which ended up tasting just as good and was even less expensive. Hubby had the Slow Smoked Pulled Pork and fries and we both thought it was wonderful! I had the sautéed scallops and thought the scallops and the pureed sweet potato that was with it were excellent. It came with some type of sautéed greens (should have read the menu a little closer) and those were okay, but just not a favorite for me. We also tried the Fried Brownie dessert and thought that was okay. I noticed that the table did not finish it off, so I'm guessing you could probably save the calories on that one if you wanted to.... Thanks to Kristen's superior service and wonderful food, we will be back!

Great cocktails. Excellent cocktail waitress. Ribeye steak was awesome & cooked to perfection. Wedge salad was delicious. I would definitely recommend Cleaver & Cork & will eat here again when I come back to Kansas City!!

My friend and I stopped here when we attended a concert/political rally in the outside arena right next to the restaurant's patio. Granted, the area was mobbed with people and noise but both of our servers seemed crabby and were annoyingly difficult to flag down. The bruschetta with arugula and goat cheese was outstanding, though, and the gooey butter cake with caramel and ice cream even better. I'm not sure if this was just a bad night for C & C, but given the logistics and location, I'm sure they often deal with crowded, chaotic nights so they should consider hiring staff who can roll with it.

The inside is very nice and is perfect for a date night. The yelp check in is very nice. My date had the pork chopped and was very pleased. The stuff meatball appetizer was also yummy. The penne pasta wasn't great. Noodles were obviously just hard store bought and there was an overwhelming amount of meat compared to pasta.

Has a nice vibe to it and even makes a decent pulled pork slider. It seems to have a little trouble distinguishing itself in a square full of high end modern places. That said, it offers a pleasant charm of its own.

Little loud due to the concert happening but staff was nice and food was great! Had the roasted chicken, was heavier than I expected but just rich enough. Service was a bit slow but they were packed and seemed a bet under staffed.

Very tasty. The wedge salad with bacon, tomatoes, and cheese curds was fresh and delicious. I ordered extra curds as an appetizer. The staff is friendly. Great restaurant!

Amazing Staff, There's a public arena in the mall. You can watch live shows from the patio of the restaurant. Definitely Suggest the place.

Last night my wife and I had the best dining experience with the best server we've ever seen before. Based on the mixed reviews my wife kept coming across about the restaurant we, were split on how the service was going to be. The atmosphere and look of the restaurant were beautiful and after being led to our seats we we're approached by a young man with the biggest smile I've ever seen. He introduced himself and immediately made us feel like we're part of his family. We placed our drink orders based off of his suggestions and we watched as he left, engaging everyone he passed, we agreed this must be the same Antonio from the reviews. His menu knowledge and descriptions forced us to try things outside of our comfort zone but each item was amazing. My wife pointed out this was the first time she's ever been dining where the tables interacted with each other about how good the server was. The thing that topped it off, besides the food being fantastic, was the fact that we saw him hug and shake hands with every table as they left. We were treated with the same exit and I believe left better people because of this interaction. If you ever get the chance to visit the Power and Light District in downtown Kansas City, Mo, go to Cleaver and Cork and ask for Antonio.....You can thank us later

My coworker made a reservation for 4 at 5pm on thursday. He made the reservation on Tuesday. On Thursday in the morning he receives a call from Cleaver and Cork asking if we would be on time for our reservation. Weird. The guy goes on to explain they have a lot of people coming at that time so it's important that we're on time. Translation: not only do I want to offend you, I also want you to know you're much less important than our other customers. Thursday evening at 5pm, we arrive, on time, for our reservation. The place is literally empty. Even the wait staff and the bartender are nowhere to be seen. Come to find out they're all in a meeting. Our first drink order was very slow, not surprising with no bartender in sight. After that, things started to kick into gear. Service got better; food was digestible. The punch line: by the time we left an hour and a half later, the place was only half full. It's one thing to go out of your way to insult your customers; it's another thing entirely to do it unnecessarily.

Very surprised by a limited menu but we found things that worked out. Serve was slow. Server didn't come around often and we found ourselves waving someone down at least 3 times for basics. Food was decent and the cocktails were correct.

Was here for my son's wedding rehearsal dinner and could not have been more pleased. We probably ended up with 50+ people there after friends and out of town family came and the staff and server we're fantastic. I had a perfectly prepared ribeye steak that practically melted in my mouth. They made Kansas City proud. Ironically, the greatest thing on my plate was a side of roasted potatoes in a white parmesan sauce that was indescribably good. I ended up passing my plate around to share and everyone at the table got that look on their face when you try something new and it's marvelous. I look forward to going back on my own.

I am so sad to see all these mediocre stars because we had the BEST experience the other day, but it was really due to our server Antonio. Me and some girlfriends went there for happy hour before a show at the Midland. There was 6 of us, and we were served quickly (even thought happy hour was close to ending), and our server was literally hands down the best server I've had in a long time. He was enthusiastic, attentive and just overall amazing! He is really what made our experience over the top there. Not to mention the burger on their happy hour menu is a great price and is delicious and high quality. Also, I have a dairy allergy and it's a pain to go out because I always feel bad and occasionally the server has no problem showing their total annoyance. Not Antonio! He was very careful and diligent about addressing it, and not making me feel like a total j**** ;) Next time I go back, I'll be sure to ask for Antonio!

We are moving to KC within the next few weeks and came up to check everything out. Came across the 1/2 price steaks on Tuesday and decided to stop in! We loved it! I got the filet and my husband got the ribeye - both served with asparagus and paramean fingerling potatoes. (Delicious, fresh, and perfect temperature) They had live music, the service was fantastic - the food came out quickly. It wasnt very busy...but again it was a Tuesday night. Will definitely be back!
