While the food was simply amazing, I did feel like my main dish was served in a child size bowl and at $36, felt underwhelmed. We were there for our anniversary and was never made to feel special. My husband ordered the ribeye and was told if he wanted any other temp besides medium rare, it would be a 45 minute wait. I don't understand but we agreed because he likes his medium. The sides are of course not included. We ordered bread service, $12 for a tiny portion. Very good though. It was brought with no issues and we enjoyed. Then out of nowhere his steak shows up, all by itself. I had to wait on my pasta dish, strange. Waitress said sides would be out soon. The squash finally came when we were midway done. I was eating very slowly as I'm a person who wants everything all at once. Our frites did not make it out until after we finished. Waitress removed the cost but not much on apologies. The entire service was just odd.
While the food was quite good and we loved the overall ambience, including live music, there is nothing that would make me want to go back. Disappointed.
Chelsea and all the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. The kitchen produces fresh, creative, and unique dishes that I always look forward to. Without a doubt, my go-to spot❤
Everything was oooook. Half of the dishes that we ordered were amazing then salty in different areas of the dish. For the price point It should be peeerfect.. The salt wasn't throughout the dish. Kinda disappointed.
Won’t be back. I went to celebrate my 1 year anniversary. Ordered several dishes that were tasty but the whole experience was changed and ruined when we ordered the ribeye. CUSTOMERS have preferences on how it is prepared ( rare, medium, medium well etc) it’s on the waitress to ask the customer how they would you like the steak prepared or explain to the customer that they only do it a certain way or have it explained on the menu that they only do it one way… NONE OF WHICH OCCURRED.
I put my order in with the waitress and she never asked how I wanted it prepared…no big deal people make mistakes and I forgot to mention it as well in the “ordering moment”.
Before the plate left the kitchen I flagged the waitress down to let her know how I would like it prepared. She acted like there was nothing she could do. The plate isn’t even at my table yet... It comes out super rare and I reject the steak and tell them to take it back. They put it on the grill and bring it back and it’s still super rare…She tells me that she can “box it up for me and I can throw it on the grill at my house” 😅😂😂😂 I received the bill that had been secretly paid for by my parents who were not in attendance for this and Corvino STILL CHARGED THEM FOR THE STEAK.
don’t risk your Saturday evening dinner experience here just go ahead and take yourself to capital grill where the staff is trained to ask you how you would like your meal prepared and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience for you.
Delicious! Went with 6 others and we all ordered different dishes and shared. Amazing service and overall fabulous experience
Truly a great place! Definitely and impressive place and a great date night spot. Servers were very kind to my 7 year old! The small plates were fantastic, worth the high prices ($12 French fries) I would recommend not to order the “burger” or fried chicken as they are merely filler, maybe to add more stocky protein or as value items? The shrimp rice and spinach pasta were just a few of the outstanding dishes!!!
Best place in KC
Eddie was phenomenal and helped us through the menu. We gave him full control of our experience and he didn't let us down. Amazing food and fun atmosphere. Perfect date night spot.
Meh. Maybe I expected too much at $125/pp price point, but this is not fine dining by a mile. Food technically “ok,” nothing was a total miss. Service was reactive (had to ask for fresh silverware).
Everything was phenomenal here at Corvinos. My friend and I enjoyed the cavier for appetizer, red wine, and the Rigatoni Bolognese was scrumptious!
Hightly recommend for a romantic datw night for two or an upscale girls' night out dinner.

Some dishes were outstanding and well worth the price. Others were good, but not at the price point. Drinks were solid. Very loud and seating was bull pen style with hard walls and high ceilings allowing sound to bounce around and amplify. Overall average experience.

What a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary! Service was top notch, and although high end on price, worth the exquisite dining experience. Nice wine list, with choices by the glass or bottle. Cozy place for either a romantic dinner or with a group where you could order several "shareables". The complementary champagne they brought to our table was a surprise and lovely gesture.

The best restaurant in Kansas City. Consistently excellent service, food, atmosphere, live music. They deserve a Michelin star.

Disappointing! I flew in from Philadelphia excited to dine at Corvino. The reviews were flattering, the vibe looked vibrant, and I love the small plate concept because you can enjoy a variety of different flavors and dishes! My party of three loved the ambience! The service was superb (thanks Cade), but the food fell flat in flavor and presentation. This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had and I've eaten meals on a banana leaf! The food was very salty with no hint of flavorful fresh herbs, instead the food was heavy on butter, cream and cheese and it didnt camouflage or compensate for the lack of flavor. Also, the food was plated on top of crumbled white paper!
Here's everything my party of three ordered at Corvino's on October 2, 2024.
2-orders BROILED OYSTERS* smoked garlic, herbs, cheese $16
review-The smoky garlic was overwhelmed by the salty cheese flavor. Plus, it was watery like a bad soup dumpling and it was served in a bowl on top of crumbled white paper.
( 3 oysters per order)
1-order-FRIED GREEN BEANS lime, cream, salsa macha $9
Review- They were over cooked and tasted like french fries.( Poor presentation-about 15, 1 inch green beans served in a bowl on top of crumbled white paper)
1- order-LITTLE GEMS bread crumbs, olive, ham, buttermilk vinaigrette $14
Review- The bread crumbs and ham crumbles were like eating food on the beach. It was disturbing as if I had sand in my salad.
1- order WATERMELON rice crackers, chili, lime, sea salt $12
Review- Not fresh! The rice crackers with lime, chili and salt was supposed to enhance the flavor of the watermelon, but lime can't liven the flavor if the fruit is past its time.
2- orders-CUCUMBER SALAD avocado, basil, preserved lemon $14
Review- it was so tart like biting into a lemon.
FINGERLING POTATOES cheese aioli, vegetable pickles $13
review-They were very salty, drenched in cheese and garnished with petite potato chips. Yes, potato chips...who does that?
1- order-CHINESE BROCCOLI whipped tofu, chili crunch $16
review- lightly steamed with a nice crunch, but heavy on the salt which made them unpalatable.
1- order-CORN AGNOLOTTI chanterelle mushroom, miso butter, pine nut $34
review- The mushrooms were delightful, but the pasta was drenched in miso butter.
1- order-PORK MILANESA chili verde $36
review-Only took one bite to discover it was soaked in salt, dry and tough like leather.
1- order HALF FRIED CHICKEN red jalapeño butter, pickles 35
Review-The presentation was magnificent, but the chicken wasn't cooked thoroughly. I cut into a chicken thigh and discovered it was raw inside.
This made me nauseous and we left immediately!
This dining experience was torture to the tastebuds and a precursor to high blood pressure. By the way, we did not bother to ask them to make accommodations because everything was salty. We just paid our tab ($275) and left.
Cade, thanks for bringing us to go containers for all the dishes, but we couldn't eat the food at the restaurant and we certainly were not going to bring it home.
