The food was fantastic. The taquitos are to die for! And Maya was seriously the best bartender. She had great recommendations from food to cool things to see in KC!

Love this place we order once a week from here. Last week the order was messed up and they fixed it immediately no questions. Bravo to staff and managers. Give them a raise

Food was great. Server Alfonso was asked multiple times for items and eventually had to stop another server once and another time had to stop a manager. Experience would have been a lot better if we had a better server.

The Chicken sandwiches that was orderd two of then where raw we brought that up to the waiter and he took the plates back and all they did was put more cheese and sauce. Another plate the ribs were good however the the pulled chicken and sausage looked like it had been sat out for a few hours and was super dry some oft the other plates the food was cold apon arriving

Update 6 years later. 2025. Still great food/atmosphere/and service. Got the same plate. Ribs are so damn good. Sausage great. Brisket is good, but o prefer thicker slices. Shaved brisket you lose a lot the juicy fat I look for it a brisket. This great for a sandwich but on a plate I prefer thicker slices. But still great flavor. Great smoke ring. Glad Joe's is still going great!!
Not sure why they dont advertise as Joe's BBQ. But either my first experience was a good experience. Ribs, brisket. And sausage. Bbq beans. Everything was great I like their sauces the traditional has that perfect balance of sweet and spice. Their spicy sauce hits ya a couple minutes later. Love that. But once again a perfect balance, nothing to overpowering. I'll be back. The restraunt has a great atmosphere good music. I'll be back next time I am in town.

Food was delicious. I had the bbq chicken sandwich, wife had the pork tacos. Both were awesome. Alphonso was a great server, and super welcoming! We are from out of town and he gave us some advice on what to do/where to go. He’s the man!

Such a great and authentic place. Ribs were amazing and the baked beans off the hook! You’re going to need the paper towels. Cool vibe and great country music. Great place to pre-game like we were or watch a game. We’ll be back!

The service was great! The place was packed, food came out quickly considering how busy they were. Food was ok, I wanted the brisket to be juicy but it was a little dry. Otherwise it was a good experience!

I had the Ribs and One meat, sliced brisket, with the spicy Cole slaw side. The ribs were solid- lots of meat on each, tender, very good flavor without needing to be drowned in sauce. The brisket was good too. Sliced thin with a little sauce, had plenty of flavor. The Cole slaw was above average as well.

I was still a little hungry so I ordered a side of Mac and cheese. Fantastic. Worth going back just for that.

And the staff kept my sweet tea full the whole time. Well worth the trip, and I’ll certainly be back.

Aside from being walking distance to many places I’m not sure I’d recommend this to anyone.

We arrives and the hosts looked less than enthused to end their convo and give us attention to seat us.

After being sat we waited about 10 minutes before even getting drinks ordered or seeing our server. There were maybe 4-5 other tables sat at this point.

Once we ordered the food came out speedy fast so I will say high regards for that! However, the cold brisket, and the rock hard corn bread - you’d have better luck breaking a window with this sorry piece of gluten and waste of calories than you would eating it. When explaining to the server he seemed clueless, and being a server myself I just pointed out that I’d talk to the kitchen to ensure they don’t continue to serve them. He looked dumbfounded and I literally tapped the rock hard cornbread muffin onto the counter - see video - to which he still just nodded and then left.

Very VERY mediocre. Looks good, tastes bland. I’d avoid. Pricy.

Good place to stop before a game or event downtown. It's also nice if you want to get Joe's BBQ but don't have time to head over to the Kansas side of town.

If you're a fan of BBQ, do yourself a favor and check out County Road Ice House. The food was absolutely phenomenal—tender, smoky, and packed with flavor.

Beyond the food, the service was great. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server took the time to walk us through the menu and made some great recommendations. Food came out hot and fast, and everything was spot on.

Whether you're a BBQ connoisseur or just looking for a great meal in a fun atmosphere, County Road Ice House delivers. I will def return.

Would only see our waiter about every 30 minutes. Several times we had to go to the bar to get drinks. Often we would ask for something and would not receive it. Empties and plates were not cleared. Waiter seemed frustrated when we asked them to be removed.
