Great atmosphere, great drinks, questionable staff. The women’s bathroom latch is worn down so I decided to hold the door closed with my foot, when a female bartender decided to barge in a use profanities with me, more specifically “lock the door b****”. Another employee also alluded to the need to do drugs in that bathroom. Very unprofessional in my opinion, but I understand if I got in the way of the staffs Saturday routine.

This place is an original Westport gem, for sure. No frills in the best way. Super divey, and successfully so, with an impressive amount of good energy and quintessential Kansas City history. Great prices, super chill vibe, and the bar manager is a good dude. Recommend for any chill libations, no doubt.

Best dive bar in KC!!! Val, Daryl and Sawyer are the best bartenders ever!!!
It’s a dive bar - go in knowing that and you won’t be disappointed.Tired decor and unique odour were on point. We enjoyed the reasonably priced beer and efficient service. No complaints.

Absolutely worst bar in KC. We ordered 6 beers for $4 per beer and left a $6 tip. The next time we ordered 2 beers the bartender handed us the beers and asked if we were going to be cheap again with our tips. We made up 50% of the customers in the bar that night and he talked to us like that. We walked out and left immediately. While we walked out, someone who worked at the bar followed us out egging us on to escalate the situation. We will never spend our money at this bar again!!!

Absolutely terrible experience. I'm not sure why this bar decided to even be a part of the pub crawl. It's tiny, it smells and I've never met more rude bartenders in my life! The guys with the bull nose ring and gauged out ears was so rude to every group who came in. If you hate your job that much get a new one. Why this establishment keeps these people working here is beyond me, the reviews obviously speak for themselves. Won't ever go back.

Love this hole in the wall bar! Feels a tad bit like stepping back in time but also among very diverse modern clientele! I got drunk last night and kept calling it “Dave’s old time wagon train tavern” they should definitely rename it that ?? great place for cheap beer and good times!
