This is the best smash burger in KC. Get a double. The sauce is excellent. The fries are nice and crispy. This is an all around win.

It's at The Varsity Club in the back. Nice, funky permanent food truck with outdoor seating, bricked sidewalks. The patties were tasty, crispy sear on them. Super delicious !!

The service was fine. The varsity club is fine. Horrible food. Burger wasn’t exactly fresh and neither were the fries which is why the order was filled in 2 minutes and semi cold even though there was no line and reason for everything to be out that quick.
The fact people rave about this place to me and it won pop up of the year is just baffling. The main problem is this: so salty I had to stop eating it. Salty as a salt lick. Saltier than Taco Bell. Salty as if I dumped salt out on my palm for a tequila shot and licked it between bites. I’m not sensitive it was just that bad. And I used to think my friend that avoided salt was weird. Tasteless meat just covered in salt with salty cheese and then salty pickles. Sort of just flat and deflated, not really appealing to the eye. I see the people rating this best burger in KC must be drunk when they eat it which explains a lot since this place is at a bar. Drunk people will eat anything.
Go to Culver’s or Freddie’s or anywhere else.

Where to begin with this place? The review is a couple days late, but I had to come back to rave about Disco Burger. It was so good that I came back for a second day in a row. Fries were made to perfection, and the burger was delicious. The ordering is informal, and I loved it. Order at the window, and go grab a drink from Varsity Club. Even with the cold weather, hanging outside was comfortable. Good chance I’ll be making this a weekly occurrence, regardless of the weather.

Look at these burgers. Do you think the absolute skill required to create such a crunchy, delicious, delicate lace on a succulent burger patty is by accident? It isn't. This burger haunts my dreams with perfection. My wife begs me to stop suggesting it as a destination for date night. She only wishes that she could handle the flavor that has overtaken my life and can only hope to wrest my attention for a moment when in proximity of such greatness.

Honestly my favorite place to eat around downtown KC. The burgers are amazing - I'm a sucker for a good smash burger but this is #1. They are close in comparison with Mac's burgers in STL (so yummy). Additionally, they have a great neighbor - Varsity Club - awesome drinks. Try the bangarang! Will continue to support them as long as I'm in KC <3

Disco Burger is truly an experience. I first tried their delicious smash burger outside "Big Mood," and I could immediately tell they were the real deal. Now, with their food truck parked behind Varsity Club, they’ve only gotten better. The outdoor seating area is great for hanging out, and you can enjoy both amazing burgers and a refreshing cocktail. It's a standout in Kansas City's burger scene, and I find myself craving a Disco Burger all the time
