Cute little donut shop. The staff was super helpful. I grabbed their seasonal gingerbread doughnut, based on the recommendation. Delicious! I have great expectations for the regular ones that I also purchased. Will be back in the future.

When we walked in we both noticed the place was filthy, tables hadn't been wiped down, there was trash on the floor, and the workers area was gross. The part that really got me was this guy with really long hair not wearing a hair net. This guy prepared the donuts with his long flowing hair falling right over the food. I knew right then this stuff was going into the trash, and that's exactly what happen when we got home.

I loved the river market location and was so sad to see that it was gone. I loved stopping by with friends to try different specialty donuts and cocktails that they had on occasion. The smores donut is my favorite and the peanut butter cup one is great too.

I paid $4 for a donut the kiosk let me order, but it wasn’t available. Instead of a refund, I was told to pick something else. The staff blamed the kiosk menu being wrong during the week. Very impersonal system and not customer-friendl

This was a tough review to write as we’ve been coming to this shop for years. Recently ownership made a choice to go to automated kiosks for ordering. It’s not a good change for us. Rewards points were not transferred equally. A half dozen box of donuts isn’t an option to order. The kiosks are slow, inconsistent, and difficult to use. Seldom are the donuts at the order menu actually the ones available. The lack of interaction with employees is also a negative with an obvious hit to the overall moral of the workers. While we are big fans of the recipes and people here at Donutology this new automated approach has driven away much of our business interest. It’s midtown KCMO and making a cultural favorite like this shop so unfeeling corporate really limits the experience and draw. Things change but sad to see this shop change for the negative.
