If you live in Kansas City and have not been to this restaurant you are missing out. I have been here in KC for 4 years and not found a decent Mexican restaurant until Tatema. This is the best. From the rice, the beans to the main items amazing! The brown salsa is unique and the most flavorful you will have anywhere. All recipes are that of the owner behind the grill. Randomly stopped in and ordered a horchata and churros to go. Staff was friendly and the decor was nice, though it was a bit warm inside. My order was ready in a few minutes. The churros were incredible—easily the best I’ve ever had, with a cinnamon sugar filling, honey on the side, and a scoop of cookies & cream ice cream.
