I have lived in Kansas for ten years and have never seen such a bad Asian restaurant. The food is both overpriced and tastes average. Their wasabi is not spicy at all and tastes boring. I have found the restaurant and there is not even an Asian person there. You should just run away. It’s not in line with Asian tastes.

The food might be good but as a former staff, I hate this place. The owners pay their workers $10 an hour and then keep 100% of the tips for themselves, and they aren't shared. This is definitely not legal. The workers deserve better than this.
The bento box is a heck of a deal

Amazing!! A lot of sushi restaurants have gone down hill in the past couple years and while I get why, rising prices making it hard for restaurants to stay afloat, it doesn’t make for good sushi. The quality of the fish is often not great and the amount served compared to the rice makes it seem like a total waste of money. I hadn’t been to Friends in a couple years, moved further a way and kind of forgot about it but this is my second time in the past couple weeks and it’s sooo good. Fish quality a 5, fish quantity a 5 and service a 5. Definitely my go to sushi place now ❤️
A great experience. The food was amazing. Pricing is great and the staff was very friendly.

The service is great and I like the atmosphere. The sushi is above average. I wouldn't say it's the best but it's good. We live in the area so it's nice for a quick bite. The prices are reasonable.

Nice sushi spot on 39th street. Had the tempura shrimp roll which was very good. Also ordered Ekko’s noodle soup and it was huge, fresh vegetables and noodles and tofu. Not as much flavor in the broth as I’d wish, but good. Tried the Fukimaki roll and it was good. Don’t care for the tempura shrimp
and veggies. The coating was not light and crispy but more of a breading. The service was attentive and the place has a cool vibe. Will be back for the rolls, good quality and price.

This is a small venue with huge taste. We decided to stop in here from the smell in the street. I was literally walking to another location for something else and decided to stop in here. We were promptly seated and our server gave great suggestions. There were several varieties of Sake I wish I tried. The only issue with this spot is the location, because parking can be an issue. You may have to park a block away. But if your patient the food is worth it! I had the best onion soup ever!

Their sushi rolls were delicious and the staff was friendly. We will definitely be going back to try some of their other sushi rolls to find some more favorites we enjoy.
