Hotel is clean. Staff are friendly. Pool is awesome. Shuttle driver Daryl is awesome. Best shuttle driver. Friendly, funny, and goes out of his way to help you get somewhere and learn the area. Great location to power and light district and lots of great places to eat.

We love staying at the Crown Plaza! The staff is amazing and Daryl is the best shuttle driver you could ever hope for, he is very informative and will help you navigate the places to go and takes you there with a smile on his face!!! Wonderful place to have a girls weekend!

I stayed here with a group of 7 girls total for a bachelorette party. Darryl the shuttle bus driver went above and beyond for us. We called him for a ride and we’re on a bus in 10 minutes, and he also picked us up after our event. He also helped us carry bags to our car. He was accommodating and so friendly and helped us so much!! Thank you Darryl!

We chose this hotel because of the pool and brand. The staff were very nice and the lobby is nice. The room’s carpet was soaking wet under the window area. The pool’s ladders were not properly attached and the lift/accessible chair for the pool was inoperable. Because of my disability I could not get into the pool without steps, a properly installed ladder or a chair so I could not enjoy it with my grandchildren. The elevator was loud and clunky. The whole hotel needs a good makeover.

Smells great when you walk in! Super helpful staff, especially franny! Rooms were clean and beautiful, parking was conveniently located attached to the building. Walking distance to everything in PNL, dispensary FROM THE EARTH is also right there. Bar is clean and fantastic drinks! Coffee in the room and there’s a cafe located on the main floor :)

Not only did he keep us entertained but he drove the shuttle to the conference, he helped us with the elevators with hundreds of people staying at the hotel, and also helped us in an overflow room where we stored our bags and he did it all with the great attitude

Things got off on the wrong foot with me and the Crowne Plaza. Due to a huge influx of folks arriving for a nearby convention, we were not able to get into our block of rooms until 5pm. HOWEVER, the staff was attentive, apologetic and worked tirelessly to get the situation rectified. I was very impressed with the manager on duty and his attention to detail. I have to give special props to Darryl, the shuttle driver. He was absolutely incredible all week. He gave my group of 15 youth a tour of the area, gave us recommendations for places to eat and shop and in general doted on us for the duration of our trip. On our last night, he was disappointed to find out that he'd be off duty when we needed picked up from our dinner reservation. To my surprise, he showed up right when we were done and drove all our kids home -- which was a relief, considering the KC Streetcar was out of service! There are things I wish were a bit different - size of bathrooms, larger common areas, later hours for the pool - but in general, I would recommend this hotel for groups. The beds were comfortable, the views great, but the staff is really what makes this hotel shine.

This hotel is in a great location about 2-3 blocks from a streetcar station, and lots of restaurants that are walkable. when you walk in to the hotel is very well done and they have nice interactive stands with maps for thing to do. On top of having multiple restaurants, there is a nice hotel store for smaller purchases, which is always handy.

I would like to give Darrell the van driver at the Crowne plaza Kansas City kudos for being so helpful to me and taking me where I needed to go. I have stayed there before and he remembered me quite a great trait and Customer Service. He is truly a wonderful human being please give him some commendation. Darrell knows the city he knows Downtown and he knows what to do and where to go and where is sake. A big shout out to Darrell for making my stay in Kansas City amazing.
We stayed with a large group for a Memorial Baseball Tour that we do each year at a different stadium.. Big shout out to Darrell, who was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He added so many extra laughs for our group and was so accommodating. Also, Fabiolla in the bar was fantastic and had great customer service.

Great location. Easy walk to restaurants. Walk to the Power and Light District. Room clean and spacious. Comfortable beds. Great housekeeping staff. Restaurant/ bar good food. Good service. We did not have breakfast here, but is offered. Highly recommend.

My family and I spent three nights at the Crowne Plaza when we were in town for a volleyball tournament. We were extremely disappointed by the rooms which look like they have not been updated since this hotel was built. The bathrooms are extremely dated and very tiny and were uncomfortable for my husband, who is tall. The ceilings are all popcorn, and had water stains on them and the bathroom tile was also dirty. This hotel did not feel clean at all and I would not stay here again. We did not try the restaurant because quite frankly, it did not look good and was in a very small space. The elevators also do not alert you when they arrive and are getting ready to open and you will miss it if you are not paying close attention. The only positive thing was the location as it was in walking distance to the convention center and several restaurants. Overall, I would recommend staying at a more updated hotel, such as the Loewe’s or the Westin. The Crowne plaza really needs to update the rooms for the price that they’re charging. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

It was very nice for our short time there. We really only arrived late evening and left early morning. Beautiful views and the parking was convenient. The room was small but very clean. I believe the price was not worth it; however, it was nice for the time.

In kc for a dance competition, always stay at the crowne plaza and my stay is always great! Bar was very busy but a female bartender Irma D. Went out of her way to make my stay exceedingly wonderful!!! I was very impressed by her work ethic and professionalism during such a hectic night. She took time to stuff my olives with bleu cheese despite being super busy, Her male coworker on the other hand did not seem to want to do much helping. Which is unfortunate I wish more young people had her work ethic!
