I got put off this place a few years ago (2019?) after being charged for the “all you can eat” when I did the “one trip.” The waitress accused me of eating a crab rangoon off my husband’s plate, the owner backed her up… it was a whole thing. And we never went back.
Anyway, fast forward to last week. We heard the restaurant had reopened, new ownership… and thought it might be worth giving another shot.
Visually, everything was exactly the same. And ironically, I think we were served by the exact same awful waitress that we were served by the last time we were there. She’s still just as unfriendly, abrupt and condescending as I had remembered her being.
I wanted to do the “mini bowl,” but was curtly informed that it isn’t available on the weekend, so I begrudgingly did the all you can eat. The buffet is astronomically more expensive than it used to be, and the new pricing structure is so complicated that I felt like I needed a lawyer present.
It’s going to sound like I’m nitpicking, but it just wasn’t great. They don’t have wings on the buffet anymore, which was a huge disappointment. The soup was salty sludge and inedible, the appetizers were picked over and basically nothing but crumbs, the vegetables looked like they’d been sitting on the buffet for several days, sauce and pieces of food were strewn all over the buffet and surrounding floor…
After my food had been grilled, the cook unceremoniously slopped my food onto a plate and handed it to me with noodles trailing off the plate. None of the dirty dishes were removed from the table by the waitress. And don’t even get me started on the disgusting bathroom curtains.
We got full. That’s about the only positive thing I can say about the experience. For a lunch that ended up costing nearly $40 a person, I expected a cleaner establishment, fresher food, much better service and some pretense of presentation. I would rather spend my money elsewhere.
Parking: We parked on the street, but the waitress warned us that if we parked in the garage without telling them that we would get a $90 ticket

Ordered pickup for first time since re opening. Ordered from Jeremy over the phone who didn’t listen to what I ordered so I had to repeat myself. He did not sound friendly over the phone, which is a change in customer service from my previous experience here over past 5 years. Usually extremely friendly. I walked in and this guy just looks at me and stares without greeting me or welcoming me to the restaurant. Bugs out his eyes at me as a greeting. So I said I’m here for a pickup. He helped me but was pretty expressionless and didn’t seem hospitable. Definitely could use training.
Made me realize it’s a big change from previous experiences. Was not busy on a Wednesday night. Honestly not sure I’ll go back because the service and atmosphere were not good. Disappointed.

We hadn’t been back since they reopened and we were pleasantly surprised. The interior is exactly the same, the staff includes many faces we recognized, and the food was just as good as ever. They had the same items they always had. I appreciated that the spring rolls and sesame dessert item were both vegan. This is a very vegetarian- and vegan-friendly restaurant and they will even clean the grill and use clean utensils to cook vegan food. We were there early on a Saturday, around 5:30, with two small children and we didn’t have to wait, it was very quiet that early. The staff was so friendly and accommodating of our children. It was so nice to be back!

Got the General Tso’s Chicken and Seseme Chicken. Both were good. I would have liked more spice just because that’s my preference. The waitress brought spice and it was all great . Service super good . Very friendly reception upon entering. We walked to the location but apparently there’s a parking garage behind it. Get your ticket validated.

Tasted awful couldn't eat most of it. A mom struggling out here i barelyg our to ea . they could've been more empathic but so fake like they really didnt care

Terrible food. Not at all worth the money. The lady assumed my kid’s age on the bill without asking or checking with me. Very unfriendly and horrible food. The dessert bar was horrible too. They said soup is included but there was no soup! I have been to many Mongolian BBQs but this one was the lowest quality from all aspects of all!

This place was awful. The entire restaurant was empty yet I waited 20minutes for a noodle dish and then came and said there were still 4 orders ahead of us. We ended up canceling it. The Mongolian grill tasted terrible. Super confused by the food reviews. Will not be returning. Also heard the people behind us complaining about the taste of their food.

Love this place and its mini bowl option which really is plenty. But if you want appetizers and dessert at the end, get all you can eat choices.

This KC staple has been a key place for family events and celebrations for over 20 years. Gobar, the owner, is an amazing guy. GH is the standard against which I measure all other Mongolian BBQ, and against which they are all found to be inferior.
