Finest food, welcoming staff members, constantly fantastic mood. They charge fair rates and the food quality is fantastic. Great work.

Best food! Super fun atmosphere! I’ve been coming here since I was a baby. The bartender is so nice and he has been there for as long as my dad has been coming here...and my dads been coming there since he was a kid too. So we kinda sorta know the place. Best ever, so much fun! Delicious soup to get your belly warm, best steak around here, and beautiful fountains to look at in the restaurant. This place should be an icon in Kansas City; it doesn’t get enough credit. Seriously, don’t listen to the bad reviews. This place has is the best. My favorite!!!!

I was so disappointed. My fiance and I went there with friends because of the great reviews. Well for starters the food had no seasoning on anything. It tasted blan. The white rice they gave us was so dry and had very little flavor. When I think of hibachi I think of fried rice. They didn't have that. The yellow sauce they gave us was pretty gross. The service wasn't great. I told them that I wanted the just the hibachi steak. The one without shrimp. I literally told them this 4 times because for some reason they weren't understanding even though it was literally on the menu. They still gave me steak and shrimp even though I didn't want the shrimp. Everyone in my group hated it there. We definitely will not be going back.

Had dinner with family tonight. Haven't been here in a few years. Still the same. I had Jack Daniels and coke. Bartender did well. Within minutes of sitting down, the young lady came by to take orders. I, along with others, felt rushed to order. I quickly went with chicken and shrimp. Spicy. Our chef was great. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name. My food wasn't spicy but was delicious.

This used to be my favorite restaurant to go to with my family. Been coming here for 15+ years. Food was always fantastic, although the service always felt a little rushed and you often needed a reservation in advance. In the end, it was always worth it though. In the last couple years they changed their yellow sauce. I have NO IDEA why. The new sauce is runny and tasteless. The YELLOW SAUCE was the best in town, and now it's just ...eh. Total bummer.

me and my extended family have been going there for every person's birthday, special occasion, and holiday for 25 years. They have changed the yellow recipe, and other food items in the last year. Gojo's went from the best tasting and best value Japanese restaurant in KC, to one of the worst, in less than a year and a half. Won't go back

This a hibachi style meal so if your party is larger than 12 you will separated your different tables and if smaller than 12 you will share a table with other guest (you do not know) everyone is sitting around the grill. You will served a peanut dressing salad and soup. Both are really good!

Very fun for a group night out! Quaint atmosphere. Can get busy & ventilation isn’t as good as some newer buildings but doesn’t cause any issues. Friendly and quick staff. Fun to watch the food prepared. Fire is much more interesting than the usual onion volcano:)

Immaculate. Not diamond status but very high standard for those looking for a decent and affordable meal. Oh and yes they cook large portions or they will adjust if you want less. Hibachi style grill.
