We could not make a reservation at other restaurants so we decided to give Grand Street one more try. Sadly, this once dependable restaurant continues to decline. Frankly, we were red-faced by the experience with our business guests. Service was unacceptably slow. Food quality was poor. The appetizers were an embarrassment. The pasta dishes should not have been served. The sole redeeming dish was the salmon which was sapid. Bottom line-either we caught it on an off night or Grand Street is living off its past reputation and Plaza adjacent location. It is well past time to step up its game.

Thanksgiving at Grand Street this year was an absolute home run. I booked a 3:30 Thanksgiving Day seating and went in expecting “good for a holiday buffet.” What I got was way closer to a full-on, white-tablecloth feast that just happened to be all-you-can-eat. The buffet spread alone was insane: silky mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, roasted root veggies, rich gravy, Brussels sprouts, green bean casserole, stuffing, cranberry sauce, multiple salads, rolls, ham, roast turkey and a prime rib carving station. Nothing tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp—everything was hot, well-seasoned, and felt like someone actually cared when they made it. The turkey was moist (which never happens on buffets), the prime rib was tender and juicy, and the classic sides were exactly what you want on Thanksgiving: comforting, not over-complicated, and executed really well. The roasted veggies and Brussels sprouts had great texture, not that sad mushy buffet vibe. Desserts were downright dangerous: pecan pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, assorted cookies, and these ridiculous chocolate ganache brownies. The pumpkin cheesecake and the brownies were worth the trip by themselves. Service was just as strong as the food. Plates were cleared quickly, waters and sodas were constantly topped off, and the bartender was *on it*—adult beverages came out fast and made it to the table without us ever feeling like we were waiting around. For a busy holiday service, everything ran impressively smooth. No cold food, no undercooked anything, no “sorry, we’re out of that.” Just steady, generous refills and a staff that clearly had their act together. Bottom line: Grand Street turned what could’ve been a chaotic holiday buffet into a legit, stress-free Thanksgiving experience. Plentiful food, killer execution, and sharp service. I’d happily take my family here as a Thanksgiving tradition—absolutely worth it.

the food was delicious but the pricing for the brunch was very strange. Everything was $22 whether it was a pancake or a prime rib omelette. we didn't have the appetite for the $32 all-you-can-eat brunch deal, but it would be nicer if the non-buffet items were priced accordingly.

We gathered to celebrate our youngest sister's birthday! We dinned earlier in the evening 3:30 so we were able to order wonderful appetizers; Brussels sprouts, potato cakes and other shareables from the happy hour menu! My fillet was cooked to perfection and was so tender and juicy. The entire experience was a 10 out of 10!

Food was great and service was even better! We got some appetizers and split an entree which was plenty of food!

I thoroughly enjoyed the turkey sandwich and so did others in the group. Our waitress was #1 in my book as she knew exactly when to come to the table and when not to. Kudos to the servers too! Thank you for the great employees you hired including the chef!

Grand Street - Plaza is what I call a "count-on-able" restaurants that you can take relatives, friends or business associates to and be assured of an enjoyable, delectable and service oriented experience. Mostly, my husband and I can run in for a low-key, mid-week dinner and excellent glass or bottle of wine. I have been dining here since they opened and feel it personifies a worthwhile dining-out experience.

This is often a go to favorite of ours. Food service is quick, generally and wait staff, friendly. Last night we ate outside which accounts for my noise level review of quiet. Very peaceful atmosphere.

Wonderful evening meal with attentive, not overbearing service on a Saturday evening. This has become a favorite restaurant during our annual fall gathering of family. Great suggestion of carrot cake for a dessert to complete our dining experience.

The greatest place in Kansas City to have a business meeting lunch or dinner. Hands down! Grand Street is quiet and extremely professional. Our server was prompt and anticipated every need we may have had, checking in on us periodically. I will continue to make Grand Street my go-to place in KC for business meetings.

Four of us went for lunch. A booth made conversation easy. The portions were gigantic and my Croque Monsieur was awesome. Our server was attentive and personable and we didn't feel rushed. A very enjoyable experience.
