Came in town to visit a friend. Stopped by this well reviewed bakery. Loved the casual and neat atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. Upscale deco. A variety of difference choices. Tried almond croissant, honey lavender and cheese/chive biscuits. All delicious, extremely tasty and fresh. Both indoor and outdoor seatings. Would love to try all other choices of baked goodies. Definitely recommend and will come again!

Pretty delicious breakfast burrito! All the pastries and sweets looked amazing but didn’t try any this time around! Plenty of seating indoor and out. Nice little place for breakfast!

I was able to go inside and wear a mask and even eat inside. It is the best blueberry muffin I have ever had, full of blueberries. scrumptious!

Always love this place. Great food, and the owners are residence of the Brookside community. They've really put roots into the community and have added a great bakery too.

Wow. Amazing everything tastes AMAZINGLY GOOD. WOW!!!! This is real food, (no chemicals or shortcuts), made really well. I'm a huge fan. The strange attitude of some of the staff is why I took off one star. Person who appeared to be in charge seemed like she didn't care. Which is fine, I guess but it threw me off. Two of the bakers, who are performing in a very open kitchen for all of us to view, seemed in a bad mood or cynical or empty or something. I hope they have happiness in their days in some way soon.

I stood in line and waited for the appealed to kick in. After waiting a good few minutes I was told I had to wear a mask even those already vaccinated because the neighborhood apparently requested (why?????) fairly off putting at first, then you order and ask for a breakfast burrito and coffee, the magic total you ask: $17!!! Are you out of your damn mind????????? Off putting service, out of this world prices made me walk out of this joint. How do people allow this price gouging???? 1star

Walked here from work to eat lunch with my mom. We each got a sandwich and shared half with each other. So tasty! Ingredients were SO fresh. Absolutely worth it. We can't wait to return and try breakfast someday soon. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice coffee and bakery shop. I had a cup of coffee and bought a loaf of bread for breakfast as well. Friendly and fast service. Also very trendy ambiance.

Good food but the staff is pretentious. I see this sign (photos) asking if I've ordered online and to wait in your car instead of waiting in the long line outside at the order window. I tried to order online but the website is down so I call the number so I can wait in my car instead of the cold. I called the guy and he talked to me like I was an idiot. He said they don't take online orders (why was the sign up?) and then he sarcastically asked if I saw the long line of people at the order window. He knew I was standing in because he saw me from inside the store and we made eye contact. I told him I was trying to help by suggesting to improve the sign or take it down because everyone in line was confused. Why did he have to be so sarcastic and not willing to admit to a mistake?

Not very friendly staff and didn't bring water when we asked. But good food.

So glad they survived the pandemic! Their breakfast burrito is the best I’ve had in KC!!

Honestly I hate to say this because I was really excited to try this place out, but the food was not good at all. I tried 3 different menu items and 3 different lattes and did not like anything. Very bland :(
